The Mortgage Professional will attract new mortgage loan applications by developing relationships within the community, specifically within the real estate community, by making sales calls to realtors, builders, and existing and prospective customers. Promote and participate in educational housing seminars/programs specifically designed for low to moderate income individuals, special community events, realtor open houses, etc.
Be a client and community resource by developing and maintaining a strong knowledge of the service area particularly related to economic and housing trends; participate in educational opportunities; read professional publications; maintain personal networks; participate in professional organizations. Support existing relationships through on-going customer contact, quality customer service, and superior product knowledge. Actively identify and refer all cross-sell opportunities for bank products to the branch team.
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent education and experience
Two years of banking experience in mortgage lending or a related field
Ability to learn and retain complex information with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills applicable to a business environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to meet deadlines while working independently
Strong sales and customer service skills
Ability to travel, occasionally overnight
