Job Description: :
Responsible for assisting high volume senior Mortgage Loan Consultant(s) (MLC). Serves as the point of contact and handles inquiries from customers, builders, and realtors during the application process and pro-actively keeps them informed of progress. Handles marketing support to increase production volume by preparing and distributing marketing materials & communications.
Completes loan applications, ensuring all information is correct. Tracks mortgage loans through closing and answers customer questions regarding status of files, interest rates, and underwriting requirements. May support MLC by attending luncheons, dinners, award ceremonies and special functions and may work in booths at various trade fairs, open houses and home parades. Performs administrative and/or clerical duties in support of the Mortgage Loan Consultant.
Typically participates in the marketing activities of the Mortgage Loan Consultant.
Note: incumbents in these job titles are participants in the Loan Origination Assistant (LOA) Program and are paid through deductions from the sponsoring Mortgage Loan Consultant(s)' commissions.
Is registered and maintains active, Company sponsored registration in the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLSR) and has been assigned a unique identifier number in compliance with the federal S.A.F.E. Act requirements.
2 years of mortgage lending or bank operations experience
Excellent communication skills and strong computer skills required
Satisfies regulatory requirements for holding the position, including meeting the qualification standards imposed by the Loan Originator Compensation rule of the Truth in Lending Act.
Previous originations function experience desirable
