Job Summary
The Mortgage Loan Processing Manager is responsible for a team of processors and the direct oversight of the pipeline production and quality of mortgage loan files. In addition, the Manager will perform a variety of reporting and compliance-related duties that support Mortgage Lending. This position is located in the Jackson, MS corporate office.
Primary and Essential Functions
Support, coach, train and develop processors in all aspects of the loan process
Verifying the applicant's income, assets, liabilities, and collateral value to determine the ability to repay.
Manage the entire flow of the loan from origination to closing.
Lead the team in compliance requirements for all loans including the completion of required disclosure of compliance documents.
Determine when a re-disclosure situation exists and provide proper and timely re-disclosure of compliance documents.
Run daily reports and verify that mortgage loan pipeline reportable results meet expectations
Assign loans to processors in a timely fashion to ensure service levels are met
Prepare and maintain reporting on Excel spreadsheets.
Assist the Closing department by preparing, reviewing, and issuing required Closing documents.

Ability to manage personnel
Keen analytical skills
Working knowledge of word processor, spreadsheet, other PC applications, or mainframe applications to produce non-standard, creative products.
Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, and interpret data
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
Knowledge of regulations and requirements of investors, federal regulations and compliance in mortgage lending
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred or equivalent experience in mortgage lending
Five years' experience in residential mortgage loan processing/underwriting and/or mortgage compliance
Experience in the management of personnel
Demonstrated strength in ability to manage multiple projects at once while maintaining appropriate attention to details.
