This position exists to:
Develop and deepen the technical competencies of those who work in MLC, MLO, MLA, MLU, PCS, and MLS positions, through classroom training and one-on-one development.
Act as a resource to those in the MLC, MLO, MLA, PCS, and MLS positions, and to the supervisors and managers whom oversee those teams.
Conduct research to develop, maintain, and deliver training curriculum as it relates to department functionality and investor and regulatory requirements.
Assist Mortgage Loan Training & Development Coordinator (MLT&DC) in developing and conducting testing for new projects and system updates
This position works closely with the Mortgage Loan Training and Development Coordinator(s) to gain the skills necessary to teach all higher skills courses in the complete training catalogue of the Mortgage Lending Department. This position is expected to take on progressive ability over time until performing at the level of the Mortgage Loan Training and Development Coordinator(s).
Assist MLT&DC in training for mortgage staff
Receive guidance from and work in cooperation with the MLT&DC to accomplish training objectives.
Attend additional training as identified to increase overall knowledge related to mortgage lending and obtain training skills mastery.

Minimum formal education required for this position:
Knowledge consistent with an Associate's Degree in Education, Adult Learning, or similar related program.
(Preferred) Knowledge consistent with a Bachelor's Degree in Education, Adult Learning, or similar related program.
Minimum work experience:
2+ years' experience with consumer / mortgage lending in a financial institution, at least 6 months of which were directly related to 1st mortgage lending.
(Preferred) 2+ years' experience with 1st mortgage lending in a credit union environment.

Strong communication skills including the ability to write, develop and deliver training curriculum in a public speaking setting.

Basic Knowledge of (and able to develop knowledge to teach):
1st mortgage products that include conventional, FHA, VA, construction, land, and portfolio investment properties loans.
Federal lending regulations.
Mortgage Lending software systems.
Understanding of all positions related to Mortgage Lending - Mortgage Loan Officer, Mortgage Loan Consultant, Post Closer Specialist, Mortgage Loan Underwriter, Mortgage Loan Assistant and Mortgage Loan Servicer.
Investor guidelines and requirements.
Ent mortgage lending policies and procedures.
Initiative to meet and/or exceed job standards and willingness to take on other tasks that aren't part of their regular job.
Able to organize and prioritize work load and handle multiple tasks at a time, sometimes with minimal direction.
Ability to hold information in strict confidence.
Proficient with Microsoft Office product suite to include Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access, PowerPoint and Excel.

Starting Salary Range: $50,044.80+
