Job Title: Mortgage Loan Servicing Specialist I
Reports To: Mortgage & Consumer Loan Manager
Direct Reports: N/A
Salary Grade: 6
SUMMARY
Performs complex and/or non-routine administrative tasks, exercising significant judgment and discretion in the performance of duties usually in support of a single team within Loan Operations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Basic knowledge of retail loan documentation and servicing requirements. Knowledge of federal and state regulatory guidelines
Minimum one year of experience in a Loan Operations environment
Previous experience with Mortgage and escrowed loans
College degree preferred, but experience is the key qualification
Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Ability to think critically and problem solve with guidance
Basic knowledge of federal and state banking regulations
JOB FUNCTIONS
Gather escrow origination details and payments to ensure loan packages are complete and fulfill escrow requirements
Review completed loan boarding to validate the escrow entries and funds assigned for the account
Process boarding and requested loan maintenance in compliance to Bank, regulatory and compliance guidelines. Working knowledge of regulatory oversight to include but not limited to RESPA, FCRA, FACTA, CFPB, and other mortgage servicing requirements.
Prepare, deliver and complete escrow maintenance ensuring payment of insurance, PMI, taxes, and other escrowed services. Foster relationship with third party servicing agents representing the Bank and the Customers of the Bank. Prepare instructions and engage representatives to complete payments and reports in a timely manner.
Generate payments for escrowed insurance and taxes
Meet performance standards of established production and quality metrics
Take ownership of other duties as assigned
Participate in all required compliance training, as well as internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, or other education events as assigned by Loan Ops and Bank leadership
Adhere to Corporate and Loan Operations policies and procedures as prescribed
Exemplify behaviors in alignment with the bank's vision, mission, and culture; exhibit professionalism at all times
Provide world-class service to internal and external clients with a sense of urgency and positive attitude
Demonstrate exceptional organization and time management skills and the ability to balance competing priorities to meet multiple deadlines
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position does not manage employees.

POSITION TYPE
This is a full-time position that requires schedule flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
