GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Help processors in the every day processing of mortgage loans. Split files before they are given to the processors to help with time constraints.
You will be doing whatever tasks the Processing Team Lead gives you to do in order to help the processing time lines. Comply with all legal and regulatory guidelines related to the mortgage loan industry. Improve customer service by processing all loans in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Answer incoming phone calls and answer customer questions regarding mortgage loans in general or specific to a borrower's loan in process. This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time.
2.Receive files in processing to split before the loan is given to the processor. Help with the processing of FHA, VA, Conventional, Bond and RD loans after application, which includes, but not limited to, processing various types of verifications, pulling credit report, ordering appraisals, ordering title work, running loans through an automated system, pulling flood certificates, getting loan files ready and submitting them to underwriting, following up with underwriting and clearing all underwriting conditions. This duty is performed daily, about 40% of the time.
3.Correspond with customer, real estate agents, appraisers, and title companies as needed to obtain information necessary to getting the mortgage loan ready to close. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.
4.Pull LDP and GSA reports for processors. This duty is performed as needed, about 10% of the time.
5.Work directly with the Processing Team lead to ensure the utmost in customer service. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
6.Perform daily duties on all bank systems and Mortgage operating systems such as DO, DU, LP, Encompass. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.
7.Identify Cross Selling opportunities. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.
8.Complete required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned. This duty is performed as needed, about 5% of the time.
9.The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training, and 12 to 18 months related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS
Ability to utilize common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral or diagrammed instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several known variables in situations of a routine nature.

SOFTWARE SKILLS REQUIRED
Basic: Accounting, Alphanumeric Data Entry, Database, Presentation/PowerPoint, Spreadsheet, Word Processing/Typing

Ability to multi-task
Mortgage Loan Processing experience is required.
Hands on experience processing Conventional, FHA, VA, RD, and Bond loans is preferred.
Experience with Encompass Anywhere is preferred.
