PREFERRED EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3 years' experience in a mortgage origination/sales position with proven ability to successfully meet production and quality goals. Knowledge of banking industry laws, regulations, and the retail origination process. Knowledge of conventional, government loan products and guidelines including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, USDA-Rural Housing and VA loans preferred. Working knowledge of Ellie Mae-Encompass Loan Origination software, Freddie Mac Loan Product Advisor and Optimal Blue pricing engine preferred. Working knowledge of retail mortgage loan pricing preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work closely with customers. Strong sales skills with the ability to turn prospects into customers. Strong networking and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple deadlines and priorities. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

This position is responsible for:
Proactively soliciting new residential mortgage business through internal and external sources in an assigned geographic area
Participating in business related development opportunities, professional organizations, and community efforts to promote homeownership
Producing timely and accurate reports as requested
Completing special projects and participating in presentations as needed

Submitting complete credit applications with supporting documentationORIGINATING:
Developing and maintaining successful relationships with internal and external referral sources
Prospecting new mortgage lending opportunities
Facilitating communication activities with customers and referral sources during loan origination process
Reviewing applications, credit files, and customer qualifications to determine appropriate loan products and pricing
Counseling and coaching loan applicants to assist them towards their goals and to deliver the best loan products for their needs
Requesting timely loan rate locks for Secondary Marketing
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of loan products including conventional, portfolio, FHA,VA, USDA-Rural Housing programs and secondary market rules
Achieving production and quality goals
Cross-selling other Northwest products and services to loan applicantsSAFETY/HEALTH
Being familiar with/abiding by the rules of the safety and loss prevention program
Performing work tasks in a safe manner
Reporting any and all injuries to their supervisor
