DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Proactively solicits new prospects for residential mortgage secondary market loans through contacts and referrals with Bank customers, real estate brokers, builders, title companies, private mortgage insurance companies, attorneys and other related entities; Conducts interviews with prospective borrowers in order to analyze financial and credit data to determine customer financing objectives; Advises customers of product/pricing policies and guidelines and gathers any additional required information; Continually identifies, develops and maintains a quality network of personal and business relationships that serves as a recurring source of referrals for new mortgage lending opportunities; Ensures exceptional customer service by maintaining thorough knowledge of lending programs, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements; Demonstrates a commitment to professional ethics.
Participates in job specific training and other various bank training programs as required. Complies with all Federal and State Laws and Regulations including BSA, AML and all bank policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent and two years of financial institution in lending or lending support functions.
Working knowledge of mortgage lending and laws/regulations procedures is necessary. Strong knowledge of mortgage lending and mortgage laws and regulations is necessary. Must be familiar with TILA, RESPA Integrated Disclosures, Know Before You Owe, FNMA, FHLMC, FHA and VA regulations and guidelines as well and other loan programs offered.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and related computer applications is necessary. Professional demeanor, effective communication, organizational and interpersonal skills are also required. Accuracy, attention to detail and mental concentration are necessary for accurately performing tasks with frequent interruptions.
Ability to meet deadlines is essential. Must be able to work extended hours as business requires.
