As a Mortgage Loan Officer, you may look forward to:

  • Providing service to applicants and prospective customers seeking a home loan, including interviewing, pre-qualification and pre-approval.

  • Completing application and gathering supporting documentation.

  • Reviewing and completing regulatory disclosures with customer.

  • Maintaining existing and generating new sources of referral business.

  • Quoting interest rates and securing pricing through the Secondary Marketing Department on behalf of the Customer.

  • Collecting required application fees.

  • Inputting application data into Loan Origination Software (LOS).

  • Utilizing automated underwriting systems (AUS) to obtain credit recommendations.

  • Communicating with customers, both internal and external, regarding the status of the loan and relaying information to all interested parties.

  • Communicating with all parties in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Managing his/her pipeline of loans to verify accuracy of the current loan status.

  • Acknowledging and abiding by TowneBank Mortgage Policies and Procedures.

  • Mentoring other Loan Officers.

  • Relaying to Senior Management any industry changes or trends that may be of interest to them.

  • Participating in TowneBank, TowneBank Mortgage, and area association events.

  • Attending Loan Officer Meetings.

  • Representing the bank with active participation in approved community outreach functions for the purpose of enhancing our image and developing new business opportunities.

  • Obeys all applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).

You are a person that (required skills):

  • Has a valid NMLS number.

  • Has at least 1-year experience originating VA, FHA, Conventional and VHDA loans.

  • Has a proven sales record based on closed loan production.

  • Currently possess sources of referral business for purchase transactions.

  • Has a High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Has an awareness of FNMA/FHLMC, FHA, VA and VHDA underwriting guidelines.

You'll be better prepared if you have (desired skills):

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

  • Working knowledge of Encompass software.

VIEW JOBS 11/15/2022 12:00:00 AM 2023-02-13T00:00 <p>Position Summary</p><p>Responsible for ordering appraisals, pulling tax transcripts, uploading appraisal files to the Uniform Collateral Data Portal, analyzing financial documentation and calculating Housing to Income, Debt to Income and Loan to Value ratios, verifying loan documentation meets secondary market or bank guidelines. Ensure loans are complete and ready for underwriting, complete file checklist and re-disclose necessary disclosures when required. Assist borrowers in clearing pre-closing conditions.</p><p>Essential Requirements, Duties, and Responsibilities</p><ul><li><p>Review and process information from mortgage loan files for accuracy and validity.</p></li><li><p>Place appraisal orders through Oasis system in accordance with the Home Valuation Code of Conduct (HVCC) guidelines.</p></li><li><p>Communicate with borrowers, Realtors, Builders and Title Companies any missing information required for processing of the file.</p></li><li><p>Proficient knowledge of financial analysis which includes ability to calculate Housing to Income, Debt to Income and Loan to Value ratios. Strong knowledge of secondary market guidelines for conventional, FHA, VA and USDA Mortgages.</p></li><li><p>Order flood certifications, verbal employment verifications, and tax transcripts. Verify that title insurance and homeowners insurance has been ordered.</p></li><li><p>Work closely with the Loan Originator, Underwriter, Closer and other mortgage professionals to insure a smooth transaction for the borrowers.</p></li><li><p>Review files and insure compliance and secondary market guidelines and/or investor requirements are satisfied. Files are monitored by internal audit, compliance and the supervisor and repeated offenses result in appropriate disciplinary action.</p></li><li><p>Maintain high level of customer service and communication with internal and external customers.</p></li><li><p>Answer questions from the Rate Line and Loan Originators regarding loan rates, pricing and product guidelines.</p></li><li><p>Satisfactorily complete required annual BSA/AML training appropriate for this position by achieving a score of 85% and appropriately apply this knowledge to daily activities and responsibilities.</p></li><li><p>Responsible for understanding the Bank's BSA/AML Policy and following the provisions of the policy, specifically understanding that any suspicious activity must be reported to the BSA Officer immediately.</p></li><li><p>Adhere to the BRAVO Initiative by taking personal responsibility to deepen client relationships by developing cross-divisional partnerships and using the Encore system to record all client sales and service &quot;touches&quot;.</p></li><li><p>Performs other duties as assigned.</p></li></ul><p>Educational &amp; Other Requirements</p><p>1.High school graduate or equivalent</p><p>2.Mortgage Processor experience preferred</p><p>3.Knowledge of secondary market guidelines for conventional, FHA, VA, and Reverse Mortgages</p><p>4.Ability to recognize, evaluate and resolve problems</p><p>5.Experience with Microsoft Office suite</p><p>6.Must be bondable.</p><br> Peoplesbank York PA
