About the Company
We are partnered with a U.S. Bank that is seeking a Residential Mortgage Loan Officer to manage and create new residential mortgage and HELOC loan applications.
This hybrid role, based in Washington, DC, focuses on maintaining a high volume of quality mortgage originations for the bank’s portfolio and institutional investors. About the RoleKey Responsibilities: Build new mortgage production through relationships with referral sources.
Assist customers with mortgage product inquiries in person, by phone, and online. Represent the bank to real estate brokers, builders, and financial professionals. Collect and review loan documentation, ensuring compliance with requirements.
Originate loans in adherence to federal and state regulations. Assist with underwriting, pre-qualification, and mortgage counseling. Stay informed on mortgage regulations and document processes.
Support loan processing and manage customer interactions. ResponsibilitiesQualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience. 2 years of mortgage banking experience, ideally in production.
Fluent in Spanish. Familiarity with Encompass or similar loan processing systems. Proficient in Word, Excel, and Windows. NMLS registered or able to obtain registration.
