About The Role

Altabank, Division of Glacier Bank, is hiring a Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The purpose of this position is to assist the loan officer and processor with the workflow on each transaction, including collecting docs, following up with title and insurance companies, and providing status updates to realtors, builders, sellers, and borrowers

  • Attends processor meetings with management to report the progress of each loan projected to fund in given month

  • Assists Loan Officer with scheduling client appointments

  • Assists Loan Officer with scheduling business development calls/appointments to include realtors, builders, and qualifying broker

  • Assists Loan Officer with post-closing marketing

  • Assists Loan officer with inputting loans into databases

  • Review and adhere to policies and guidelines contained within the policy manual, including privacy and information security guidelines

  • Partner with your management team to understand performance expectations and measurements

  • Maintain a high standard of customer care

  • Submits application and conditions to the underwriter

  • Contacts and communicates with loan officers, closers, and underwriters to complete mortgage transaction

About You

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • One year to two years of similar or related experience.
  • A high school education or GED.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:

  • 2 or more years of experience in the mortgage industry.

  • Work normally involves contacts with persons beyond immediate associates generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. External contacts take the form of service to the public (customers or vendors) requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and exchanging factual information.

  • Self-motivated; strives for quality and researches new techniques.

  • Accuracy with names and numbers.

  • Good skills with financial calculator, typewriter and computer.

  • Good communication and organization skills.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
