Summary Prepares all loan closing packages and funds packages after documents are signed; remits payments to private mortgage insurance companies; prepares loans for shipment to permanent investors; builds and maintains positive relationships with co-workers to ensure smooth and efficient first rate service by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

  • Accurately prepares loan documents for closing in a timely manner and verifies all documents in funding package have been completed properly when package is returned from attorney.

  • Maintains compliance with TRID and all Regulatory guidelines.

  • Funds exceptions on files and clears all files for final funding.

  • Works with the shipping department to clear any investor exception reports.

  • Reviews all final closing numbers for accuracy with customer prior to closing.

  • Maintains professional and positive contact with customers and the public, encouraging solid relationships to enhance the overall customer satisfaction and bank image.

  • Maintains well organized customer files to ensure loans are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Strives to be innovative and forward thinking in order to fine tune mortgage processes that will result in a higher level of customer service and to develop confidence in the Origin Bank Mortgage Department.

  • Attends community functions and participates in projects as requested such as Board of Realtors, Home Builders, etc.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); minimum five years mortgage loan experience.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the Internet, Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to use basic office machines. Ability to learn bank-specific software such as Encompass, IBS, ADP, etc.

Bank Culture/Customer Service Skills

Ability and judgment to interact and communicate appropriately with other employees, customers and supervisor. Ability to serve customers, both internal and external, (community/public) in a manner that will reflect superior customer relations and enhance the overall marketing effort of Origin Bank.
