The Morning Kids' Time Instructor assists in leading implementation of the Kids' Time Before School Program, adhering to all the policies and procedures as outlined. The staff must be able to lead a group of students through the programming of each day.
The Instructor will assist with fostering a safe and nurturing environment for the students. The staff may also assist with students' homework in order to help improve the academic achievement of the students, address behavior problems as they arise, and provide leadership for activities.

1.Provide guidance and leadership with a group of children before school hours
2.Assist with group activities throughout the daily schedule.
3.Develop a caring, consistent adult relationship with the group.
4.Provide consistent adult supervision with each activity to ensure the safety of the students.
5.Help students with their homework.
6.Provide opportunities for discussion of individual and group problems and concerns and providing them the opportunity to resolve them.
7.Assist the Site Coordinator in handling discipline, complaints, and conflict resolution.
8.Work collaboratively with YMCA association and leadership.
9.Be actively engaged in working with students, use provided curriculum materials to assist students in learning and achieving academic success.
10. Role model appropriate behaviors including cleanliness, punctuality, sharing, healthy habits, sportsmanship, and table manners.
11. Perform duties and tasks as assigned by the Site Coordinator.
12. Treat all students, parents, and fellow staff with respect.
1.Minimum High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2.Certifications required upon hire: CPR/AED, Child abuse prevention and New Employee Orientation.
3.Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills.
4.Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic
segments of the community.
5.While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, swim and occasionally may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Part Time Hourly
Monday-Friday mornings, 6:30am
7:45am or 6:30am
