Responsibilities: Provide continuous patient monitoring at the central monitoring station (CMS) recognizing all life-threatening patterns and arrhythmias and reporting# these to nurse and/or physician in an accurate and timely manner. To correctly connect patients to monitor system and assists in emergency and life threatening situations. Functions as a resource to members of the health care team and is familiar with multiple BRMC resources. Carries out of aspects of the job using good judgement and problem-solving skills, strong interpersonal skills, and assumes responsibility for self-development within the role and participates in continuous improvement activities. Collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidence based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families. Job Requirements: Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Certification:# Successful completion of basic cardiac arrhythmia course required by the end of department/unit orientation. Experience:# Previous experience preferred, but not required. Other:# Basic knowledge of computer systems and strong keyboarding skills.# *Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia Course is offered free of charge by BRMC.
