Observes, recognizes, interprets, evaluates and documents EKG tracings on telemetry-monitored patients in order to detect deviations from patient's norm. Promptly notifies appropriate personnel of dysrhythmias.
Operates and utilizes monitoring system to full capacity. Ensures proper and safe functioning of the telemetry equipment.

This is a 42-bed unit with diagnoses to include, but are not limited to medical, surgical, cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological or traumatic injuries, requiring cardiac monitoring. The most frequent diagnoses are cardiovascular (ie. syncope, angina, chest pain, and congestive heart failure).
