Description:

Under direct supervision, perform arrhythmia or ECG monitor observations on assigned shift & communicates changes to the nursing staff.

Essential Functions:

  • Obtain, compile, prepare and maintain records for the nursing unit assigned.

  • Observe cardiac rhythm of patients on monitor.

  • Run and post rhythm stripes at designated intervals.

  • Initiate code blues.

  • Interpret rhythms and validate computer readout.

  • Check and verify lead placement on patients.

  • Compare posted strip to previous strip and notify nursing staff of changes.

  • Notify nursing staff of any change in cardiac rhythm.

  • Place patient identification sticker on monitor.

  • Recognize and respond to unusual or abnormal patient condition.

  • Equipment and Instruments: Clean equipment after each patient use.

  • Equipment includes cardiac (ECG) monitor, telemetry transmitter, central monitor bank, and Arrhythmia analysis/printer.

  • Test equipment for proper working order.

  • Ensure that equipment is in good working condition.

  • Report equipment problems to supervisor.

  • Maintain work area clean and orderly.

  • Assume other activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Previous monitor observer experience preferred.

  • High School diploma or GED.

  • Formal EKG or arrhythmia class with a minimum of 20 hours.

  • Successful completion of arrhythmia updated within the last two years if basic arrhythmia class taken over two years ago.

  • Successful completion of the Kaiser Permanente basic arrhythmia assessment test with a score of 80% or better.

  • Current BCLS card.

  • Adequate hearing either alone or with a hearing device.

  • Ability to organize and ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to work as a team member.

Notes:

  • This is an on-call position; days and hours may vary according to department needs.

  • If twelve(12) hour option chosen, shift will be 8:00 pm

  • 8:30 am with backup 8 hour shift 12:00 am

  • 8:30 am

VIEW JOBS 11/13/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-11T00:00 Scope: The Environmental Technician will work with the following equipment: resin columns, regeneration system, filter press, clarifier, sand filter, pH meters, equalization systems, pumps, mixers, bag filters, atomic absorption spectrophotometer, and other waste treatment equipment. The Environmental Technician has the responsibility of operating the waste treatment system under routine and non-routine conditions. Technicians will be exposed to hazardous waste while performing daily job duties. Technician will undergo Chemical Handling training prior to the start of performing these duties and will actively participate in ongoing hazardous waste and chemical handling training. Duties and Responsibilities: * Ability to drive a forklift, or be certified within 90 days. * Maintain Process equipment by replacement of Cu Balls/Anodes. * Empty the filter press and transfer to sludge boxes. * Complete metal precipitation / treatment by batch treatment. * Manage Hazardous Waste according to RCRA regulations. * Monitor wastewater effluent by sampling and analysis. * Keep accurate records of all process equipment, analysis and logs. * Keep electroless copper day tanks full and ready at all times. * Utilize handheld monitoring equipment, (pH probes, TDS probes, metal analyzers, etc.). * Acid clean the filter press and replace filter press cloths as needed. * Acid clean and backwash the wastewater system. * Operate all environmental and wastewater equipment without supervision within 90 days. * Manage scrap metals and monitor there recycling. * Will participate in required EH&S training for WWT operators. * Maintain a safe, neat, and orderly workplace (5S). * Follow all safety measures when handling chemicals and hazardous waste with regard to use, mixing and disposing chemicals. Essential Knowledge and Skills: * Ability to read, write and communicate in English to the degree necessary to perform the job. * Able to lift 50+ pounds. * Able to work with process chemicals. Education and Experience: * High School Diploma or equivalent required with Associates Degree in Chemistry preferred. * Minimum one year experience working in an environmental / safety role in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. * Some mechanical aptitude.
