TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital is currently looking for a Monitor Technician.
Shift: Full-Time Days (with rotating weekends)
The Monitor Technician responsible for rhythm interpretation. Assists with the clerical functions of the Unit. Fulfills departmental responsibilities according to the long-range plan, mission, vision, and values of the hospital. Promotes a safe and supportive environment that encourages collegiality. Cares for Pediatrics (1 - 17 years) Adults (18 - 79 years) Elderly (80 years).
The position's tasks and responsibilities include:
Interprets Rhythms and Arrhythmias.
Reports all changes in heart rate/rhythm following the Telemetry Notification policy.
Maintains telemetry supplies.
Records patient condition utilizing computerized documentation systems.
Performs duties with full understanding of specific factors.
Orients and mentors new staff members.
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Provides a safe environment for patient, visitor and employees through identifying/correcting/reporting health and safety hazards

Graduate of Medical Assistant Program preferred.
Complete an Arrhythmia test with a passing score of 90% without missing any lethal arrhythmias
Demonstrated ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and arrhythmias.
Possesses a working knowledge of medical terminology.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of computer system
Maintains clear, accurate written documentation (telemetry log)
Establishes relationships and works effectively with others both inside and outside the organization
Maintains written, telephone and manual dexterity skills
