SUMMARY Responsible for the continual monitoring of cardiac rhythms of electrocardiographic central station monitors and remote telemetry patients monitors.# Maintains equipment, supplies, interprets cardiac rhythms and reports any changes or concerns of the cardiac rhythm to the appropriate nurse.


RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:


*Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values.

*Performs, communicates and documents cardiac rhythm interpretation and documents dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation.

*Provides direct observation of telemetry monitors; distributes monitors to staff for unit/remote monitoring; and maintains monitoring equipment as needed.

*Records routine strips for the medical record; maintains documentation of routine strips and any changes in rhythm and rate.

*Maintains documentation regarding admissions, transfers and dismissals of all patients on telemetry monitors.

*Maintains and orders telemetry supplies and equipment as needed on the assigned unit. QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalency required.# Successful completion of an ECG monitoring class within 6 months of hire required. Prior telemetry monitoring experience in a medical facility preferred.#
