What You Get To Do:

Change the lives of those in your care! The Monitor I, Community Corrections is responsible for the supervision of the facility population including but not limited to safety, security and facility sanitation. Provides for the care, custody and control of residents and establishes a safe environment for the facility, staff, visitors and residents.

Essential Functions:

  • Monitors resident population and reports any suspicious activities or violations of policy, procedures, or regulations by residents or other individuals.

  • Conducts resident counts, searches, room inspections, and vehicle searches as required. Conducts drug and alcohol testing as needed or as directed by facility administration.

  • Processes residents for intake/discharge in accordance with policies and procedures.

  • Monitors resident worker activities, provides necessary instruction, and applies standards and procedures for the completion and quality of work performed by residents, where applicable.

  • Performs rescue functions at accidents, emergencies and disasters to include administering basic emergency medical aid and CPR, physically removing people away from dangerous situations, and securing and evacuating people from confined areas.


High School diploma, GED certification or equivalent is required. Demonstrate ability to complete pre-service and other training programs as required. Ability to communicate clearly orally and in writing and apply problem solving techniques to complex issues. Must be available to work any hours, any shift. A valid driver's license is required. Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 20 years of age.

JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for conceptualizing, developing and facilitating the creation and sustainability of an Alliance of nonprofit agencies and employers in OKC for the exchange of core services information for individuals seeking employment. The Alliance will enable those seeking employment to acquire efficient and effective services information from these partner agencies leading to greater success as candidates for employers. This individual is required to work collaboratively with representatives from nonprofit agencies, educators, and employers in the community. Based upon input from partners, this individual will develop and implement a methodology and systems for the synchronization of services among nonprofit agencies to accommodate the needs of clients with the goal of sustainable employment for the individual. NOTE: This is a grant-funded position with continuance of position based on length of grant opportunity. The Director will have the opportunity to identify other sources of funding. This is not a supervisory position. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Evaluate and determine appropriate Alliance partners by creating relationships and an on-going collaboration with relevant nonprofit agencies, educators, and public/corporate entities that can provide appropriate services to clients and/or employers. * Establish familiarity with Alliance partners by reviewing services and stipulations of each agency / entity and accurately reflecting the set criteria standards of partners. * Understand employment needs based on research of city/state availability and other avenues of employment and training opportunities. * Research emerging trends and client and/or employers needs within the community to determine resources from various potential partners to create solutions and impact. * Establish criteria and processes for startup entity. * Establish infrastructure at start up, develop an implementation plan and create structure within scheduled time frame. Create plan for advanced platform with growth. * Work in partnership with Goodwill Career Pathways Institute to identify and communicate appropriate curriculum available for partner needs and demands based on trends. * Work with partners to identify meaningful data to measure program impact and develop efficient and timely data collection and reporting of metrics/impact for partners. * Develop and maintain budget for program. * Actively market the Alliance and ensure the delivery of effective marketing media to form and maintain excellent partnerships in community. * Regularly apply for grants to seek fundraising and in-kind opportunities. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: * Review and become familiar with Goodwill of Central Oklahoma safety policies, programs and procedures and adhere to all safety rules, regulations and safety codes. Attend safety training and meetings and report any unsafe work conditions, accidents or injuries immediately. * Perform other duties and projects as required by management. QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelors degree required, Masters degree preferred. * Minimum eight-years of experience in related education and training required such as nonprofit community work, workforce development training and/or social work, or similar applicable work experience. * Must pass OSBI/DOC background check * Must be 21 years old * Valid Oklahoma Drivers License and Car Insurance Verification, required. * Must pass MVR check and maintain a good driving record. * Ability to speak, read and write the English language. Spanish language capability desired. * Reliable transportation and communication, required.
