This position will sit within Quest Diagnostics' Haystack Oncology Business. Haystack Oncology is at the forefront of revolutionizing cancer diagnostics through precision medicine. The cutting-edge liquid biopsy technologies for minimal residual disease (MRD) testing are designed to detect, quantify, and monitor cancer more effectively than ever before. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Molecular Diagnostics Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in advancing the adoption and understanding of our liquid biopsy and MRD testing technologies among healthcare professionals, researchers, and key opinion leaders (KOLs). This role combines deep scientific expertise with clinical sales support to facilitate the adoption and implementation of our cutting-edge diagnostic solutions in the healthcare market. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in molecular diagnostics, a passion for oncology, and the drive to support sales teams through scientific engagement and education.

  • Establish and maintain scientific and clinical relationships with healthcare professionals, academic institutions, and KOLs in the field of oncology and molecular diagnostics.

  • Provide expert knowledge and insights on liquid biopsy and MRD testing technologies, including their clinical application, benefits, and limitations.

  • Develop and update medical education materials, clinical protocols, and guidelines to support the clinical and sales application of our products.

  • Conduct scientific presentations and educational sessions to healthcare professionals, researchers, and internal teams to increase awareness and understanding of our products.

  • Serve as the scientific expert on liquid biopsy and MRD testing, delivering presentations, educational sessions, and product demonstrations to healthcare professionals and sales teams.

  • Collaborate closely with sales teams to provide scientific and clinical support during the sales process.

  • Collect and analyze feedback from the medical community to inform product development, sales strategies, and marketing materials.

  • Assist in identifying potential clients through clinical and scientific engagement and contribute to the development of sales strategies.

  • Address technical and clinical queries from clients and sales teams, ensuring accurate representation of product capabilities and applications.

  • Collaborate with research institutions and clinical investigators to facilitate research studies, clinical trials, and publications that support the clinical utility and adoption of liquid biopsy and MRD testing.

  • Gather and provide feedback from the medical community to inform product development, marketing strategies, and clinical support materials.

  • Attend and represent the company at medical conferences, symposiums, and workshops, staying abreast of the latest research and developments in oncology and molecular diagnostics.

  • Assist in the development of medical education materials, clinical protocols, and guidelines to support the use of liquid biopsy and MRD testing in clinical practice.

  • Advanced degree (Ph.D., Pharm.D., M.D., or equivalent) in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Oncology, or a related scientific field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison or in a similar role, preferably with a focus on oncology or molecular diagnostics.

  • Strong foundation in molecular biology techniques, cancer genetics, and the clinical implications of liquid biopsy and MRD testing.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with medical professionals, researchers, and internal teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and convey complex scientific information to a variety of audiences.

  • Ability to travel extensively to meet with stakeholders and attend conferences.

  • Proven track record of building and maintaining professional relationships in the medical and scientific community.
