Position Summary:

The Molecular Biologist is responsible for providing flexible lab support to the group by performing a variety of Molecular Biological benchwork techniques to provide data to meet project goals.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide flexible and adaptable support to team.

  • Proven experience in the following molecular techniques: QPCR, PCR, ELISA, Western Blot

  • Strong aseptic technique, maintaining, freezing, thawing and seeding cell cultures

  • Perform a variety of screening assays including ELISA, MSD and cell based assays

  • Strong pipetting skills, experience with liquid handling equipment, and plate readers, etc.

  • Tissue collection and isolation of DNA, RNA or protein for analysis.

What You'll Need:

  • Degree requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Science

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience with molecular biology techniques listed above

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in highly detail oriented environment

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, professional communication, flexibility, and ability to work in a team or independently.

  • Critical thinking and proactive communication and escalation.

  • Professional laboratory experience in Biology and Molecular Biology bench techniques

  • Use of laboratory equipment including but not limited to Plate Sealers/Desealers, Incubators, pipettors, centrifuges, incubators, biological safety cabinets, balances, etc.

  • Ability to analyze data and troubleshoot and document.

  • Organized, ability to multi-task, analytical skills, professionalism, communication skills, attention to detail, aseptic technique.

  • Software includes software specific to instrument(s) for capturing and analyzing data, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams/SharePoint, etc.), LIMS, electronic laboratory notebooks, etc.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of above.
