Position Summary

To manufacture/test medical device assemblies (including all lower level sub-assemblies and accessories) in a clean room environment. To utilize a wide range of equipment, fixtures, gages and hand tools to manufacture assemble and test medical device products. To maintain all logs, forms and resulting paperwork. To carry out all facets of medical device assembly including organization of work flow and training of personnel at all levels.

Principal Responsibilities

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Compliance to all policies, work instructions, quality regulations, SOP's, WI, cGMP's and GDP's in the effort to manufacture high quality medical devices at all times

  • Utilizing a variety of machinery and tools to complete assigned manufacturing activity

  • Utilization of microscopes and magnifiers to complete work instructions.

  • Completion of daily documentation following cGMP and FDA guidelines.

  • Meeting or exceeding daily production standards.

  • Perform in-process quality inspections to standards

  • Maintain safety awareness at all times.

  • Maintain regular attendance.

  • Follow clean room protocols for hygiene, gowning , & PPE

  • Work collaboratively in a Team environment.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement and Lean initiatives

  • Train others as required.

  • Support business needs by working over-time on an as-needed basis.

  • Adhere to and ensure compliance of Teleflex's Code of Ethics, all company guidelines, policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards.

MOLDING

  • Demonstrate ability to follow and adhere to written work instructions

  • Demonstrate competency in utilizing molding machines and tools

  • Capable of set-up/breaking-down molding equipment

  • Capable of performing preventative and unplanned maintenance activities

  • Perform in-process inspections to quality standard

  • Demonstrate competency in using testing equipment

  • Demonstrate competency in using PAD Printer

  • Reduce rework/scrap through first-pass completion

  • Cross-train in other departments to create flexibilty

  • Achieve standard production rates per operation

  • Perform any other duties of a similar or related nature as required and as assigned in Molding

Education / Experience Requirements

  • High School/Trade School or GED preferred.

  • 2-3 year experience working in a molding manufacturing setting

  • Experience using equipment and tools

  • Prior medical/dental device assembly experience.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to read and write English and to perform simple to complex mathematics.

  • Abiltiy to read blue-prints.

  • Sedentary work, walking, standing, fingering, feeling, pulling, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motion, required to have close visual acuity to assemble parts, no adverse environmental conditions.

VIEW JOBS 4/21/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-20T00:00 Set up, adjust and operate a variety of auxiliary binding machines containing several cutting heads, control surfaces or other attachments (i.e. inkjet and mailing devices, case making & decorating equipment, folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, binding/gluing machines and/or set up automatic bindery machines containing multiple functions and station capabilities (power paper cutters, power collators and gatherers, power folders, power speed binder) which can be electromechanically combined with other equipment and devices to produce a complete bindery and finishing unit that processes printed sheets into final books, catalogs, manuals, directories, magazines or other completed products. Inspect equipment for safety issues. May operate automatic adhesive binding machines (perfect binders) that contain numerous interrelated process stations that are fed collated sheets or signatures and perform such functions as vibrating, milling, roughening, gluing, covering and delivering or stacking completed books, magazines or catalogs. Make needed adjustments to coordinate the multiple work stations on a single machine. Direct crew though all aspects of production. Monitor quality, output and productivity. * General knowledge of the more complex bindery machines (i.e. fully automatic binding machines (perfect binders), multiple station collators and multiple folding units, either individually or combined) to perform the full range of standard and specialized folds of printed materials. * Thorough knowledge of the setup, operating requirements, procedures, capabilities and limitations of one or more bindery machines to perform the full range of standard and specialized folding, collating and cutting of printed materials to complete a combined finishing product. * Ability to read and interpret written work orders or other job specifications containing bindery requirements which indicate the number and sequence of machine operations required to complete the work and to maintain dimensional accuracy in accordance with instructions provided; independently makes decisions on the type of equipment to be used. * Knowledge of the quality and machining requirements of various coated and uncoated types of paper stock. * Skill in setting up and adjusting machines for finishing operations and to refine such adjustments for the weight, color, machinability and quality of paper stock being used and to prevent machining impressions on the printed materials. * Must be able to calculate distances, clearances, and fits in combining machines. Skill in using the full range of standard and specialized tools and devices to adjust and maintain the functional accuracy and operating conditions of the bindery machines. * Job requires ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
