Job Description:

Responsible for in plant CVT mold preparation for production. Tasks include, mold cleaning and venting, mold inspection and mold repair.

Data verification Access, SAP and GUTS. Ability to work closely with internal people.

Job Requirements

1.Preparation of molds based on the planned schedule to meet production requirements:

2.Complete disassemble and assemble of mold / container required.

3.Verification of all lettering per released cure specifications. (TSL, MML open SEI's)

4.Verification of mold parts and serial numbers per internal systems. Access, SAP or Guts

5.Cleaning of mold parts and vents. Replace blocked vents or remove broken drill bits.

6.Record all mold data on computer for tractability and audit purposes. Identify mold assembly for production.

7.Mold repair such as replacing worn out parts or fixing stripped holes

8.Mold Preparation Technician will follow all plant rules, departmental safety policies, environmental policies, and chemical handling procedures.

9.Mold Preparation Technician will operate forklift type Mold handling equipment utilizing and observing proper safety regulations.



  1. Ensure area is kept clean and orderly

Perform other duties as directed by the Mold Lead Supervisor or Mold Engineering Manager.

VIEW JOBS 11/16/2020 12:00:00 AM 2021-02-14T00:00 Job Description Setup and adjust all Truck Tire Cutting, BAC/ Apex bead machines equipment to specification for quality and production. Essential Functions (in order of job importance): 1. Make surveillance of assigned machines to maintain productive efficiency and utilize skills to reduce downtime on equipment. 2. Utilize electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic knowledge to setup, detect, adjust and correct cutting, bead building equipment and troubleshoot robot AVGs. 3. Make Drum changes per schedule and make drum set adjustments for all BAC units, as directed by supervisor. 4. Supervise and audit building of first BAC beads after setup changes or adjustments to insure setup is to specification and approve for production. 5. Troubleshoot and make adjustments to machines. 6. Maintain accurate daily records on each machine so that a history of all breakdowns, changes, adjustments and other pertinent information is documented for reference. 7. Effectively communicate with Setup Supervisor, Floor Supervisor, Shift Supervisor and other Setup Technicians when any malfunction or breakdown occurs. 8. Perform routine scheduled MTC checks and corrections. 9. Perform work as directed by Shift Supervision, Setup Supervisor and/or Department Manager related to machine efficiency and high quality production. NOTE: May not be inclusive of all work required and may be updated as needed. Job Requirements Minimum Job Requirements Education/ Experience: Associates Degree or 5 years experience required Technical Skills: Mechanical and/or electrical background Other Skills / Abilities: Mechanical or electrical aptitude, ability to read blueprints, ability to use hand tools and precision measuring devices.
