Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Design and develop motion sensors for mobile devices.
Work on magnetometer, IMU, and pressure system integration. Perform feature modeling and system validation to identify optimal sensor placement. Collaborate cross-functionally with system EE/PD, CoreMotion, Core OS teams to identify and specify mitigation paths to resolve system coexisting issues.
Author high quality and thorough engineering requirements specifications for sensor systems such as factory test energy recovery systems (ERS) or function analysis (FA) standard operating procedure. Support engineering build activities with performance validation measurements, yield optimization, and failure analysis coordination. Work with suppliers, including traveling to supplier facilities, to resolve engineering and manufacturing issues.
International Travel Required 10%. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700 - $256,500/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
Experience and/or education must include:
Finite element analysis
System integration
Process control and statistical analysis
MEMS processing and design
MEMS characterization
Circuit design, soldering, oscilloscopes - general lab experience
