Module Advanced Development RF Engineer responsible for detailed RF design, modeling and testing of advanced high speed optoelectronic modules. Work with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams to achieve system signal integrity objectives and meet schedule, volume, cost, performance, and quality targets.
Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities:
Design complex RF structures for high speed optoelectronic modules
Develop test structures for evaluating new system performance
Work with vendors to get designs fabricated
Test & verify that designs and test vehicles perform as designed
Education / Experience:
BS in science/engineering required, MS/PhD desired (EE, Optics, Physics)
5+ years of experience with RF design and testing required, expertise with optical transmitter and receiver modules for telecom desired.
Proven track record of taking products from early design and development, through initial builds and into volume manufacture
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Team player with positive attitude and ability to work effectively with others essential
Experience with RF design and simulation tools such as HFSS and ADS required
Familiarity with high speed RF test equipment and methods required including VNA, TDR, electrical spectrum analyzer, electrical sampling oscilloscope, etc
Strong technical understanding of optoelectronic components & ASICs required
Strong problem solving and data analysis capabilities are required
Prior telecom laser and detector experience desired
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
