Modernization
Your Skills
As a Schindler Field Superintendent you will be required to manage field technicians in the day to day operations of the installation of hydraulic, gearless and geared elevator modernizations. You will also actively participate in field surveys for prospective modernization projects and be involved in the preparation modernization proposals and bids.
Additional responsibilities include:
Building a team environment by leading field techniciansbe able to determine the scope of work required and manpower needed to complete the project in a timely and profitable manner
Managing training and development of field technicians on established processes, tools and standards
Fostering excellent communication among team members while maintaining good working relationships with the local union
Assuring that each modernization project meets Company quality and safety standards, as well as all contract requirements.
Monitoring job completion and drive efficiency
Implementing customer and Company requirements for quality, performance reliability and passenger safety for modernization projects
Supporting the local sales team in estimating modernization bids and investigating and resolving customer complaints
Developing a spirit of teamwork and dedication to quality among all employees
Participating in Company professional development programs to enhance working knowledge of Elevator Company products, services and procedures
Your Experience
BS/AS degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management or Finance with prior project management experience
Minimum 5 year's experience in either the elevator industry or in a related building systems industry
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office & Excel
