CACI's Agile Solution Factory (ASF) is hiring a Senior Cloud Architects for product teams based in Northern Virginia! Join this passionate team of industry-leading individuals supporting the Best Practices in Agile Software Development for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

The Customs and Border Protection's Border Enforcement Management Systems Directorate (BEMSD) plans to obtain greater integration, automation, innovation, cost savings, and efficiencies within its portfolio of applications using Agile-based methodologies, integrated testing, and transformative processes to support current and future requirements through their Border Enforcement Applications for Government Leading-Edge Information Technology (IT) (BEAGLE) requirement. CACI's Agile Solution Factory (ASF), purpose-built to support Agile-at-scale enterprise initiatives.

ASF programs thrive in a culture of modernization and are constantly seeking individuals who can bring creative ideas to solve complex problems, both technical and procedural at the team and portfolio levels. The ability to be adaptable and to work constructively with a technically diverse and geographically separated team is crucial.

CACI is looking for several Cloud Architects with cloud engineering, technology architecture, software engineering, infrastructure engineering, agile scrum experience, and project facilitation abilities to support application portfolios within the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) as part of CACI's Agile Solution Factory (ASF).

In this role, they will have the opportunity to develop IT Cloud strategies, roadmaps, architectural products, systems and deliverables for the enterprise and operational lines of business. They will advise on the feasibility of large scale transformation and migration initiatives for all phases of programs from inception to completion. They will plan transformations across and within application portfolios and advocate technological application programs to achieve long-range objectives. They should also have a working knowledge common, multi-tiered application architectures and legacy modernization approaches.

What you'll get to do:

  • Evolve BEAGLE vision by delivering a rigorous approach to IT Cloud modernization and transformations across the program

  • Develop the strategy and architecture to Migrate the Programs 60+ application to the Cloud (AWS)

  • Support and strengthen BEMSD's governance, and cloud migration frameworks

  • Evaluate BEMSD portfolios and collaboration on IT roadmaps and initiatives.

  • Provide leadership in building and managing a network of resources to accelerate BEMSD and CBP/DHS mission capabilities.

  • Provide expertise to ensure innovative ideas and emerging cloud technologies are aligned with BEMSD strategic and operational goals

  • Perform technology liaison leadership to facilitate, collaborate, and integrate impactful and advanced technical solutions for large-scale mission impacts across BEMSD and CBP/DHS

  • Collaborate with end user facing teams to define technology migration strategies and approaches

  • Performs Architecture reviews as required, ensuring initiatives are aligned with future state

You have:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass CBP background investigation, criteria includes, but not limited to:

  • o 3-year check for felony convictions

  • o 1-year check for illegal drug use

  • o 1-year check for misconduct such as theft or fraud

  • 7+ years of IT and IT Management experience related to the role

  • College degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline. Experience acceptable in lieu of degree.

  • Experience with AWS Native Cloud Services (AZURE will be considered)

  • Experience with migrating Systems, Infrastructure and/or Data to a Cloud business operating environment.

  • Cloud Architecture Certifications for AWS is required

You are good at:

  • Developing IT and Cloud Migration Solutions in collaboration with engineering teams.

  • Understanding, aligning, and architecting Cloud Native Services to meeting application needs.

  • Creating Strategic IT Roadmaps and architecture briefings

  • Evaluating technology-based solutions to address challenges and/or improve operations

  • Identifying opportunities for improvement across the program

  • Driving continuous process improvement through introduction of new technology and approaches across the enterprise

  • Preparing and delivering executive-level briefings for internal and external customers on enterprise-level topics, solutions, and innovations

  • Producing cross-functional process flows with tools such as PowerPoint or Visio

You will be defining, leading and contributing to the open source and industry engagement strategy of the Network Systems portfolio that develops the software capabilities automating Verizon's wireline and wireless nationwide networks for large business programs such as: Intelligent Edge Network, Fiber Deployments, 5G. In this role, you will translate the business priorities of the Network Systems organization into solid engagements with Open Source initiatives and traditional Standard Development Organizations, partnering with dev teams and network planning, engineering and operations teams. Via your participation in industry forums, you will establish connections with industry partners, including startups and established players. You will also focus on transforming our industry contributions towards shorter incremental cycles to develop standards and open source approach where applicable. In addition to immediate business priorities, you will focus on emerging technologies and new trends applied to the OSS/Network Systems space, such as: AI/ML, containerization, convergence IT and network software stacks, software-defined networking, network virtualization and orchestration, Multi-service Edge Compute, standard abstractions, APIs and data models, YANG modeling, etc. You are an energetic self-starter with strong connections with the industry - both traditional SDOs and SW open source forums. You demonstrate significant leadership skills to engage cross-functionally with the subject matter experts on key domains such as: network infrastructure planning and engineering on access, transport and core networks, provisioning, service assurance, network virtualization, Cloud migrations. You leverage your superb communication skills to drive alignment and ensure that the strategy is understood by all partners within Verizon and outside. Responsibilities: * Be a lead contributor in at least one emerging technologies area, with a leadership role in some key forums * Organize regular events such as Hackathons and technology readouts to socialize the industry engagements and encourage participation from relevant partners * Provide a feedback loop on the industry trends and articulate the impact to Verizon and action plans to put in place * Assess industry capabilities and startups to partner with, connected with the business pain points and priorities.
