Lockheed Martin is seeking a Systems Engineer to support Linux cluster activities for the Modeling and Simulation team. Responsibilities will include assisting IT team with maintenance of cluster hardware and software, evaluation and integration of cluster scheduler, /development/ of cluster scripts, optimization of cluster for performance and throughput, and regular evaluation and troubleshooting.
Candidate will also be responsible for facilitation of cluster usage for the program and will interface regularly with customer and key supplier cluster/IT engineers. Additional responsibilities may include modelling and simulation and analysis tool software development. Candidate must be experienced with CentOS Linux configuration and administration. Candidate must also have Security+ or equivalent IAT Level 2 certification. Candidate must be proficient in programming with knowledge of , Perl, Python, and being highly desired.
Candidate must demonstrate the ability to perform some combination of the following Modeling and Simulation (M&S) assignments:
Demonstrate the ability to a high-fidelity system simulation capable of predicting system pre-deployment performance.
Perform modeling and simulation tasks for hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL), and 6DOF Integrated Flight simulations (IFS).
Perform trade studies and simulation analyses with the objective of enhancing and optimizing system performance capability.
Demonstrate understanding of Linux system administration supporting real-time simulation with interfaces to development or production hardware under .
Demonstrate understanding of the specification, configuration and operation of high performance computing clusters supporting multiple independent and parallel processing applications.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and hold a DoD Secret clearance with a background investigation within the last 5 years.
