Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Our four major business lines include Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Wells Fargo Commercial Capital. We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses.
The applicant will join the Corporate and Investment Bank COO Team to support regulatory and business driven risk & modeling initiatives. This includes programs such as FRTB & SA-CCR, new derivative products, as well as the build out of a new shared risk/valuation infrastructure. We are looking for highly organized & detail oriented candidates with a solid experience in delivery across business, technology, quant, and control functions stakeholders. e.g. Risk, model validation & governance, finance. This requires strong relationship management and developing new processes to support delivery as well as BAU after production. Front office business processes will also need to be defined and implemented to ensure efficient controls are in place.
Support delivery of quant-tech initiatives as related to Front office or regulatory driven requirements (e.g. new products, FRTB, CVA/XVA, Libor transition)
Partner with Quant leads on the major initiatives involving cross functional delivery, and ensure dependencies are well understood and actively managed. Particularly risk requirements, validation requirements, and scheduling.
Ensure PMO, technology, and Policy groups are in agreement on approaches and actively supporting delivery
Develop understanding of overall Quant delivery BoW and support prioritization process for those dependencies
Aware of external drivers (e.g. Policy, reg) that add to scope of projects to ensure all aspects are incorporated in the solutions
Actively look for opportunities to re-use and develop standards to drive quant-tech delivery consistency (e.g. build, release, testing)

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
Ability to communicate effectively with business partners and project managers
Ability to lead projects/initiatives with high risk and complexity
Ability to manage complex business processes associated with projects
Ability to manage multiple or large technology infrastructure functions with a focus on driving complex projects requiring participation of cross-functional groups
Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Knowledge of capital market and derivatives products
Other Desired Qualifications
12+ years of capital markets experience, including change management experience
Strong understanding and background in delivery of quant or tech initiatives
SDLC experience, both in Agile and Waterfall
Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
Ability to liaise with wide stakeholder mix, especially in technology and quant teams to focus on efficient deliveries
B.S. in Engineering, math, finance or science fields
Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills
Formal business analysis and project management experience
Worked in FO or Market Risk technology or business functions, including delivery of models and meeting regulatory requirements
