Torch Technologies is seeking a skilled Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Systems Engineer (SE) ) to support the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA's) Modeling and Simulation Directorate's (DES's) System-Of-Systems Engineering (SOSE) team. The MBSE SE will be an active participant in a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary effort to develop functional architectures and requirements to guide the agency's development of enterprise-level, System of Systems (SoS) simulations of the Missile Defense System. The successful candidate will enjoy working independently and as part of a team of highly skilled professionals to solve complex technical problems.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Develop and maintain SysML/UML models, including major systems and subsystems and interfaces.
Support SoS development, including participating in SoS model reviews and requirement reviews and providing model artifacts for formal technical reviews.
Develop and maintain SoS functional and logical models.
Serve as SysML/UML modeling SME
Job Requirements
10+ years of related Systems Engineering experience on complex systems.
Working knowledge of SysML and MBSE tools such as IBM Rational Publishing Engine, Rhapsody, DOORS, DOORS Next Generation, MagicDraw/Cameo, Enterprise Architect, etc.
Basic knowledge of architecture, requirements engineering, verification, test, and system integration.
Understanding of system interface requirements and requirements management.
Demonstrated ability to master complex technical subjects in a short time
Experience developing and presenting briefings to Government customers
Goal-oriented with excellent people skills, ability to work well in a team environment, strong work ethic and self-starting
Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders and non-MBSE trained people, both in written and verbal forms
Ability to provide significant contribution in the areas of creative thinking, problem solving, analytical thinking,
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Strong Systems Engineering background, particularly experience in integrating models and simulations into a seamless, system-of-systems simulation
Experience with Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) and/or Digital Models & Simulations
Technical understanding of the MDA Missile Defense System
Knowledge of MDA Ground Test and Digital Concept of Operations (CONOPS)
General understanding of Missile Defense Agency processes and policies
Education and DoD Clearance Requirements:
BS Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical discipline
Active DoD Secret Clearance or eligibility to obtain a clearance

Salary Range - Colorado: $150,000 - $165,000
