The Model Based Systems Engineer is responsible for developing and coordinating the verification of requirements, specifications, statements of work, test plans, risks and opportunities and design reviews.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop requirement and requirements specifications for the air system and subsystems, support development of requirements and specifications for component and assemblies.

  • Develop operational models using the DoD Architecture Framework

  • Use Model Based Systems Engineering principles to develop SysML systems descriptions

  • Manage program reviews to include Systems Requirements and System Functional Reviews, Preliminary Design and Critical Design Reviews.

  • Collaborate with design engineers in the development of Statements of Work.

  • Coordinate with design engineers, specialty engineering, flight technology and build team to ensure a coherent set of requirements is being developed.

  • Execute design reviews and the Tier I and Tier II level, ensuring all necessary deliverables are complete and to the required standard.

  • Assist in the management of the program product lifecycle management tool for the program.

  • Work with IPTs to develop verification plans for each subsystem.

  • Perform RIO development and tracking with program management and support IPT RIO management.

  • Track and capture design decision notices, impacts and design changes as they occur throughout the program.

Education and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace or Systems Engineering.

Position Requirements:

  • Experience in SysML, MBSE and DoDAF modeling.

  • Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively to coordinate systems engineering activities and report status.

  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, internal and external suppliers, as well as horizontal integrations across the other teams.

  • Familiarity with aerospace design and verification processes to include; requirements develop and verification, preliminary and detailed design.

  • PC proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Ability to work effectively within a team.

  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills.

The team is dedicated to developing, maintaining and supporting the call routing solutions for the enterprise within an ever-changing fast-paced environment. The team partners with all call center business units to fully understand and implement the unique call routing solutions that best suits the businesses need. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Design, develop, deploy and maintain Genesys Pure Engage platform including CTI solutions including Genesys Framework, Genesys Universal Routing, Genesys InfoMart, Genesys eServices, Genesys Voice Platform (GVP) and other components. * Administer the Verint recording environment. * Provide tier two and higher support for the contact center technology * Coordinate with other technical teams to develop appropriate process, ensure quality and efficiency through capacity planning and performance assessment for both integration and regression testing. * Maintain and enhance leadership, teamwork, communication and professional technical skills through informal, formal and on-the-job training. * Embrace the BNSF Leadership Model and actively demonstrate commitment to the model. * Actively support the team on common goals, and participate in high team performance. * Rotating 24/7 on-call support QUALIFICATIONS: * Minimum of 8 years professional knowledge and work experience in the administration, configuration and deployment of Genesys CTI solutions including Genesys Framework 8.x, Genesys Universal Routing, Genesys InfoMart, Genesys eServices, and Genesys Voice Platform (GVP) 8.x * Minimum of 2 years work experience integrating Genesys with third-party applications * Understanding and experience in contact center technologies including CTI, SIP and Genesys SIP Server, Call Routing and Historical Reporting, VoIP technology, and solutions * Understands the Genesys infrastructure quickly to analyse an issue and apply the best fix. Ability to communicate well with technical and non-technical users * Experience with Verint Call and Screen Recording * Solid analytical skills, problem determination, and resolution recovery processes * Ability to interface and cultivate excellent working relationships with technology teams, business analysts, and vendors * A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering or another related field * Rotating on-call support BNSF Railway is an Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled.
