Avera is now hiring a PRN Mobile Unit Driver for our Bloodmobile!! This position helps support our blood donation efforts across SD, IA and MN.

Job Summary

Responsible for transport of bloodmobile to and from mobile site, minor maintenance and repair of vehicle (quality check of vehicle operation), inventory and resupply of consumables, cleaning of mobile before, during and after blood drives and assisting with registration and processing of donors as directed by the Mobile Unit Supervisor.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS

• Class B Commercial Driver's License is required.

• Successful completion of a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screening is required.

• Air Brake Certification required within 30 days of employment.

Work Schedule

• PRN - work as needed; Typically 1 - 2 days/week

• Weekday 10 hour shifts; May start as early as 5am and end as late as 8pm

• Occasional weekend; 1 - 2 times/year

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• $21.25 - $26.50 per hour
