We have an exciting opportunity for a Mobile Technology Delivery Manager located at our new Franchise Support Center in Bloomington, MN. The Mobile Technology Delivery Manager works with vendors to manage the DQ mobile application lifecycle and supporting mobile technology systems. The Delivery Manager leads and directs the software development, testing and release schedules with Retail Technology and vendor team members. The Delivery Manager oversees quality assurance practices that are in place across the mobile technology stack.
Key Accountabilities Include:
Serve as the senior product release manager for IDQ's mobile app. Lead intake strategy meetings with the Mobile Applications Manager as needed to develop and support mobile technology initiatives across the business. Such initiatives include leading cross functional roadmap meetings and discussions, marketing technology enhancement meetings, and new technology programs like delivery.
Routinely meet with Digital Marketing Team to plan marketing technology initiatives and identify any areas that impact or provide valuable consumer insights, behaviors and business value.
Identify and lead continual enhancements of the mobile app to reduce issues, defects, and missed targets, collaborating directly with external vendors.
Direct and lead release management lifecycle of the DQ mobile app to ensure that deployment timelines are being met. This includes leading weekly/daily calls with vendors, and developing user stories with vendors that meet goals within IDQ's mobile roadmap and app release schedule.
Lead the deployment and maintain a predictable yet flexible digital product delivery processes that meets IDQs business objectives.
Identify systemic performance and support opportunities, and drive the resolution of broader, systemic solutions, providing direction and leadership to vendors, marketing and technology stakeholders.
This role works in tandem with IDQ's retail technology team and helps with addressing mobile app impacts and experiences at the store level. Specifically, this role helps improve testing communication with the retail technology team to support a smooth technology implementation process for franchisees.
Coordinate daily internal meetings as needed in regards to our integrated technology platform (POS and loyalty) with Retail Technology team.
Lead meetings and calls with vendors and internal team members in relation to the delivery of app releases, strategy, and roadmap. Ensure that continuous collaboration exists between internal and external parties.
Update and report project status information cross functionally on a daily/weekly basis for different audiences such as executive leadership, training, operations and technology teams.
Strategic thinker with problem solving skills and a strong understanding of digital platforms and projects: Must have published a mobile app to the app store(s), ability to identify defects and when/how to report them to correct parties, must be familiar with application deployment processes, understands how to use digital project management software such as Asana and JIRA, ability to translate complicated procedures to non-technology audiences.
Collaborative self-starter with a clear desire and history of initiating and driving projects to completion.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to franchisee and corporate leadership groups.
Highly organized individual who can deliver results with minimal direction.
Comfortable with taking the lead on driving business directives.
B.A. or B.S. Degree in IS, IT or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
5+ years of digital project management such as product owner experience or digital agency experience in an agile development environment (required). Experience in mobile web project management with deployment experience (preferred).
2+ years of work experience with native mobile applications for Apple and Android platforms, (required).
Deep working knowledge of mobile technologies from a user experience and development standpoint.
