We have an exciting opportunity for a Mobile Technology Delivery Manager located at our new Franchise Support Center in Bloomington, MN. The Mobile Technology Delivery Manager works with vendors to manage the DQ mobile application lifecycle and supporting mobile technology systems. The Delivery Manager leads and directs the software development, testing and release schedules with Retail Technology and vendor team members. The Delivery Manager oversees quality assurance practices that are in place across the mobile technology stack.

Key Accountabilities Include:

Delivery Management

  • Serve as the senior product release manager for IDQ's mobile app. Lead intake strategy meetings with the Mobile Applications Manager as needed to develop and support mobile technology initiatives across the business. Such initiatives include leading cross functional roadmap meetings and discussions, marketing technology enhancement meetings, and new technology programs like delivery.

  • Routinely meet with Digital Marketing Team to plan marketing technology initiatives and identify any areas that impact or provide valuable consumer insights, behaviors and business value.

  • Identify and lead continual enhancements of the mobile app to reduce issues, defects, and missed targets, collaborating directly with external vendors.

  • Direct and lead release management lifecycle of the DQ mobile app to ensure that deployment timelines are being met. This includes leading weekly/daily calls with vendors, and developing user stories with vendors that meet goals within IDQ's mobile roadmap and app release schedule.

  • Lead the deployment and maintain a predictable yet flexible digital product delivery processes that meets IDQs business objectives.

  • Identify systemic performance and support opportunities, and drive the resolution of broader, systemic solutions, providing direction and leadership to vendors, marketing and technology stakeholders.

  • This role works in tandem with IDQ's retail technology team and helps with addressing mobile app impacts and experiences at the store level. Specifically, this role helps improve testing communication with the retail technology team to support a smooth technology implementation process for franchisees.

Communication

  • Coordinate daily internal meetings as needed in regards to our integrated technology platform (POS and loyalty) with Retail Technology team.

  • Lead meetings and calls with vendors and internal team members in relation to the delivery of app releases, strategy, and roadmap. Ensure that continuous collaboration exists between internal and external parties.

  • Update and report project status information cross functionally on a daily/weekly basis for different audiences such as executive leadership, training, operations and technology teams.

Required Skills

  • Strategic thinker with problem solving skills and a strong understanding of digital platforms and projects: Must have published a mobile app to the app store(s), ability to identify defects and when/how to report them to correct parties, must be familiar with application deployment processes, understands how to use digital project management software such as Asana and JIRA, ability to translate complicated procedures to non-technology audiences.

  • Collaborative self-starter with a clear desire and history of initiating and driving projects to completion.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to franchisee and corporate leadership groups.

  • Highly organized individual who can deliver results with minimal direction.

  • Comfortable with taking the lead on driving business directives.

Required Experience

  • B.A. or B.S. Degree in IS, IT or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • 5+ years of digital project management such as product owner experience or digital agency experience in an agile development environment (required). Experience in mobile web project management with deployment experience (preferred).

  • 2+ years of work experience with native mobile applications for Apple and Android platforms, (required).

  • Deep working knowledge of mobile technologies from a user experience and development standpoint.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Mobile Technology Quality Analyst. The Mobile Technology Quality Analyst is responsible for building, reporting and managing a testing strategy within the retail technology mobile stack. The Quality Analyst helps to set a pace for store testing and rollout strategies. Testing considerations include functionality, security, performance, compatibility and usability. The Quality Analyst needs to be a strong communicator and work beside multiple external vendors and within IDQ's internal team. The Quality Analyst reports to the Mobile App Development Manager and works closely with IDQ's Retail Technology Team and other internal cross functional team members. Key Accountabilities Include: Testing and Reporting * Setup overall rollout testing strategy for US and Canada mobile app programs * Build out testing plans, scenarios and cases in coordination within Retail Technology and Mobile App Teams * Ensure that vendor product teams provide clear documentation that outline feature enhancement, release components and other change elements * Create reports that communicate test status, bug detection and other relevant factors that benefit the software development and maintenance environment * Continuously consider opportunities to enhance and shorten testing processes, including test automation and application of smoke testing * Test against interrupt conditions that are generated within and outside of the DQ mobile app environment * Apply quality assurance to team processes and key deliverables, including project planning consideration for QA practices, user acceptance testing procedures, load testing considerations, etc. * Work daily with mobile app product and project managers cross-functionally to establish and continuously refine plans and test cases Communication * Communicate test strategies and activities to appropriate team members across the organization on a semi-weekly basis * Communicate and work directly with third party vendors to test new releases within the POS and mobile technology stack * Contribute during weekly vendor management conference calls that serve to organize mobile development activities by escalating identified or anticipated QA concerns, or program aspects that require clarification * Utilize multiple communication channels including Microsoft products, JIRA, Asana, chat, etc. Release Management * Partner with internal team and vendors to assess the severity of and identify solutions for bugs/defects * Make determinations as to whether a release meets UAT acceptance criteria * Review release management notes and provide feedback regarding any opportunities for clarification relative to new or modified user features Required Skills * Familiarity with current mobile app security protocols, including data flow vulnerability and data leakage * Familiarity and experience with mobile app automated testing tools * Must be willing to work with retail technology software and in-store technology * Software Development Life Cycle experience * Strong interpersonal skills * Strong communication and presentation skills * Must be able to learn new software quickly Required Experience * B.A. or B.S. Degree in IS, IT or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience * 3+ years of Business Analysis and/or Quality Assurance experience in a Technology Department, collaboratively working with business partners, technical teams and vendors * Experienced in taking requirements and turning them into test cases and reporting bugs/issues across an internal team and vendor team environment * Experience with native mobile applications for both Android and iOS platforms preferred.
