Work Schedule: Monday through Friday. Must be flexible to travel, work overtime, nights, and weekends if needed.

Pay Range: Pay starting at: $18.00 - $21.00 (entry level)

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Railcar Repair

• Must be willing to travel (50% - 75%)
• Assist with an perform tank qualification on railcars
• Works safely around heavy equipment, railcars and railroad tracks
• Coordinates and competes all railcar repairs and maintenance
• Operate forklift/telehandler when needed to move railcar equipment around for operation purposes
• Prepare railcar for visual inspections by a dedicated resource (grinding, using a torch, buffing)
• Interprets job work orders and follows blueprints / schematics to perform required repairs
• Utilizes basic mechanical skills and builds knowledge of machines and tools to weld, cut and gouge

Overall Responsibilities:

• Notifies of any materials and/or equipment required to ensure completion of job tasks
• Follows all safety rules, keeps work area clean and complies with all ARS Environmental Health and Safety Policies
• Ensures FRA, AAR and/or ARS and customer quality assurance standards are met
• Completes any other duties as assigned in order to complete the task

Job Qualifications:

• Experience is a plus but not required, and paid on-the-job training is available
• May require a valid Driver's License and / or a valid TWIC card, depending on work location
• 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
• Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
• Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
