POSITION SUMMARY
In this role you will perform a variety of laboratory and diagnostic procedures; to include but not limited to collection of blood and urine specimens from clinic patients and processing patient samples. Additional duties include ordering patient specimens in the laboratory Information system, organizing patient specimens for transport and maintaining excellent rapport with clients and patients.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform efficient and effective blood draws
Labeling and safely storing samples
Demonstrate compliance with infection control guidelines
Preparing the testing room with the proper equipment
Procure specimens through venous and micro-sampling techniques
Ensure lab orders are entered correctly
Assure specimens are collected in a proficient, timely manner
Maintain an orderly/standardized workspace
Perform ancillary and clerical duties as necessary
Management reserves the right to add, modify, change or rescind the work assignments of this position as business needs warrant.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
A reliable vehicle is required
Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
Phlebotomy certification highly preferred
CPR certification preferred
Strong eye for detail
Excellent interpersonal skills
Proficient verbal and written English skills
Proven ability to prioritize a variety of tasks
Familiar with infection control policies and procedures
Attention to detail is a must
Experience / Abilities:
Minimum of one-year experience is preferred but not required
Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to management multiple priorities
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work in a team environment
Willingness to maintain confidential information
