Position Overview: The mobile equipment operator reports to the Melt Supervisor and is responsible for maintaining in-shop inventory, emptying slag tubs, related cleanup, and assist with all other aspects of melt operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Operate a variety of mobile equipment such as forklift, skid steer loader, excavator, and overhead cranes as needed

  • Assist with refractory work

  • Keep work area clean

  • Alert supervisor to any safety or quality issues needing attention

  • Alert supervisor to any maintenance needs

  • Recommend process improvements

  • Participate in special activities, projects, and programs in order to support Bradken's safety, quality, and productivity goals

  • Other duties as assigned or requested

Experience:

  • Prefer previous manufacturing experience

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work with limited direct supervision

  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment

  • Must have valid driver's license

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to use arms, hands, legs and feet in repetitive motions

  • Able to twist, stoop bend, and stand in the performance of job duties

  • Must be able to lift 55 pounds repetitively

  • Must be able to lift 85 pounds occasionally

  • Must be able to stand and walk on concrete floors and uneven surfaces for the duration of the work shift

  • Must have good vision and depth perception

  • Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment

Pay Range: $19.97 - $23.53/hr (Depending on experience)

Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Must be available for OT if needed)
