Position Overview: The mobile equipment operator reports to the Melt Supervisor and is responsible for maintaining in-shop inventory, emptying slag tubs, related cleanup, and assist with all other aspects of melt operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Operate a variety of mobile equipment such as forklift, skid steer loader, excavator, and overhead cranes as needed
Assist with refractory work
Keep work area clean
Alert supervisor to any safety or quality issues needing attention
Alert supervisor to any maintenance needs
Recommend process improvements
Participate in special activities, projects, and programs in order to support Bradken's safety, quality, and productivity goals
Other duties as assigned or requested
Experience:
Qualifications:
Ability to work with limited direct supervision
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Must have valid driver's license
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to use arms, hands, legs and feet in repetitive motions
Able to twist, stoop bend, and stand in the performance of job duties
Must be able to lift 55 pounds repetitively
Must be able to lift 85 pounds occasionally
Must be able to stand and walk on concrete floors and uneven surfaces for the duration of the work shift
Must have good vision and depth perception
Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment
Pay Range: $19.97 - $23.53/hr (Depending on experience)
Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Must be available for OT if needed)
