Community Food Bank is looking for a Mobile Distribution Supervisor for operations across a 5-county service area, this role ensures the seamless delivery of perishable and non-perishable goods to those in need. Function: The Mobile Distribution Supervisor is directly responsible for the management of the Community Food Bank (CFB's) mobile distribution operations, including inventory, proper storage of perishable and non-perishable food, managing volunteers, distribution infrastructure, recordkeeping and maintaining the high standards of the organization. This position will work with multiple internal departments to accomplish food deliveries to the CFB's 5-county service areas and will be expected to regularly travel across these areas.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and best practices for CFB's rural mobile distributions with the goal of improving the consistency of service and experience for community members accessing emergency food services across CFB's 5-county service area.

  • Supervises the recruitment, training and supervision of volunteers with respect to emergency food box distribution, inventory, and reporting requirements to support the mobile food program functions.

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with government program requirements and grant restrictions at all mobile sites.

  • Oversees program outreach to identify and onboard new partners in underserved areas in alignment with organizational and network goals.

  • Coordinates with other CFB hunger relief, health, education, and community development programs for holistic community impact.

  • Supervises accurate inventory control, establishes and maintains distribution infrastructure, and ensures USDA product is available in a timely manner to address client needs.

  • Collaborates with CFB Operations departments for efficient program operations congruent with organizational resources.

  • Creates and maintains a comprehensive plan for partner agency and volunteer training that supports their development and deepens the shared understanding of the hunger relief programs' intent and leads to a consistently dignified client experience.

  • Supervises staff through regular meetings, providing feedback for overall competency, and championing their professional growth and leadership development.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of mobile food site government program requirements and grant restrictions.

  • Skills in developing and implementing SOP's and best practices.

  • Ability to establish and maintain distribution infrastructure for timely USDA products.

  • Ability to understand logistics, inventory and work flow.

  • Ability to work without a high-level of direction.

  • Self-motivator and takes initiative.

  • People orientedand ability to motivate team members.

  • Demonstrated interest in learning internally and externally and incorporating new information into role.

  • Ability to work with people from diverse economic, social, and political backgrounds.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Three (3) years of experience in business, program management, or distribution operations.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics or a related field or relevant experience.

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).

  • For company insurance purposes, at least 21 years of age; possess a current Arizona Driver's License with a safe driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One (1) Two (2) years of staff management and supervision.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Physical Requirements:

  • Medium Work ability to exert 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
