Mobile Device Management Administrator

TELECOM & MOBILE DEV MGMT ADMINISTRATOR

Job Summary/Duties:

This highly technical position is responsible for the design, integration, management and administration of enterprise mobile devices in a Microsoft Active Directory-based, 24x7x365 enterprise environment. The incumbent plays a vital role in the management, maintenance and expansion of the mobile device network infrastructure and has a direct role in all aspects of supporting users and relationships with vendors. The incumbent establishes performance standards, develops policies and procedures; maintains in-depth knowledge of mobile devices and mobile device management technologies; keeps management abreast of latest trends in mobile device technologies. Mobile devices include: various models of AT&T and Verizon, SCADA Wireless Alarms, Dell tablet and other mobile technology tools that, are primarily used outside of the office and are often used to connect to the organization's network.

  • Performs a full spectrum of duties to enable and support enterprise landline and mobile devices in a large-scale and complex environment

  • Integrates, manages, troubleshoots and administers mobile devices and mobile device infrastructure.

  • Maintains and assists in design of configuration management systems.

  • Maintains device inventory and processes all related invoices.

  • Will work as a member of the IT Client Services and Network support staff.

  • Analyzes isolates and resolves customer issues.

  • Performs proactive monitoring, configuration management and fault resolution.

  • Directs interaction with customers on mobile device support issues.

  • Escalates issues to immediate management.

  • Maintains workloads, detailing each case with notes of steps taken.

  • Performs any other delegated duties considered appropriate in order to maintain the efficient operation of the department.

  • Provides 24/7 on-call support as needed.

  • Participates in daily IT operations and acts as a backup for peer technical staff.

  • Provides recommendations for and implements new technologies to maintain and improve the existing mobile device infrastructure.

  • Documents the enterprise mobile device environment and develops related documents as needed.

Job Requirements

TELECOM & MOBILE DEV MGMT ADMINISTRATOR

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Science or a related field is highly desired. Three (3) years of current experience in enterprise telecom and mobile device management; and a minimum three (3) years of hands-on experience with desktop client support. Experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCOM) technologies desired. Must be familiar with the latest mobile technologies, wireline services, and support demands.

  • Must be a self-starter capable of working under limited supervision in a demanding environment.
