The Position:

Bottomline products are used by many of the largest financial institutions as well as large corporations for mission critical business operations. You will be part of a highly impactful mobile development group as we continue to create innovative solutions.

As a Mobile developer at Bottomline, you will split your time between exploring new mobile capabilities and delivering innovation through our mobile solutions.

You will partner with members of the Product, UX, and Development teams as we continue to surprise and delight our customers.

This position is part of the global UX and Innovation team.

This role can be based out of our Portsmouth, NH office, or a remote location within the New England area

Responsibilities:

  • Drive cross-functional adoption of modern mobile technology that aligns with business priorities and objectives

  • Deliver proof of concepts of identified opportunities

  • Work with Product, UX, and Development teams to deliver high quality mobile applications

  • Engage with other mobile developers to create reusable and scalable code modules

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience as an Android developer with a portfolio of released applications in Android App stores

  • 3-5+ years of experience of Kotlin/Java and Android required, including lifecycle, design patterns, best practices and Material Design

  • Deep understanding of the JDK, Android SDK and related frameworks

  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and debugging skills

  • Knowledge of RESTful web services and API integration

  • Knowledge of OOP, algorithms, data structures and design patterns

  • Great communication skills, particularly when explaining technical solutions

  • Ability to work cross functionally with many different teams

  • Must be a quick study who can work independently as a contributor member of a high performing team

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies

  • Experience with memory management and caching mechanisms specific to mobile devices

  • Proficient writing unit/functional tests and working with test automation frameworks

Education:

  • BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
