Drives the mobile health clinic safely to and from specified locations
Reviews city routes prior to departure to ensure accessibility to city roadways
Manages systems related to the vehicle i.e., gray water tank emptying, generator usage, etc.
Maintains the vehicle and performs vehicle checks and logs
Responsible for keeping the vehicle cleaned and serviced (including fueling the mobile health clinic)
Ensures safety sticker, emissions, city sticker, license plate registration and insurance are up to date.
Develops and maintains knowledge base of current and applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
Demonstrates a deep understanding and respect for the community.
Maintains confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA regulations.
Supports the growth of the program to meet health system and community needs.
The PRN driver is responsible for driving and maintaining the mobile health clinic (MHC). The PRN driver will be responsible for positioning the MHC at the location of service and assisting with set up of the vehicle i.e., assistance with pop out sections, securing to shore power where appropriate, logistical layout of site, etc. These responsibilities also include an awareness and sensitivity to culture and socio-economic differences in the patients cared for in the mobile health clinic. This role will require flexibility in activities involving the PRN driver role and will include, but are not limited to, transporting lab specimens to Carle lab, general cleaning of the mobile health clinic (interior and exterior), an awareness of safety for staff and patients while in and around the mobile health clinic.
