mmWave Analog IC Design Engineer

Location: Andover, MA/ Irvine, CA

As an Analog design engineer you will be responsible for the analysis, design, and development of analog integrated circuits used in next generation mobile devices using BiCMOS, SOI, and CMOS technologies. Typical circuitry to be developed will include BJT and MOS biasing blocks, linear and logarithmic RF detectors, Over-voltage/over-current protection circuits, regulators, and a range of closed loop feedback circuits. Some developments will also require basic skills in system level analysis. Any additional knowledge and experience in the followings is a plus.

  • RF circuits including amplifiers and switches.

  • Mixed signal and digital integration experience.

  • III-V device and applications.

To be successful in this role, you should be fully capable of top-level die development, tapeout, and product ownership and have a strong knowledge of design flow and ESD best practices. In this role, you will be interacting with designers from multiple sites with occasional travel.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with 12-years minimum experience with demonstrated track record of product ownership/delivery.

  • Comprehensive simulation skills in Cadence including PEX, Monte Carlo, and Corner analysis.

  • Detailed knowledge in standard analog cell design including: bandgaps, op-amps, detectors, regulators, precision current sources, basic logic synthesis.

  • Exposure to best analog layout practices in Cadence Virtuoso

  • Exposure to commercial CMOS wafer fab technologies, 180nm or below

  • Additional, preferred skills:

  • SOI technology & design

  • Bipolar technology & design

  • III-V device and applications

  • RF circuits including PIN diodes, switches, attenuators, VGA, and Power amplifiers

  • Exposure to 802.11 WiFi, 5G, and mmWave product requirements

  • Mixed signal and digital integration experience

Our work involves electrical hardware for radar, missile, sonar, torpedo and combat systems. An opportunity exists for an engineer to join the team responsible for production test at the Andover, MA facility. This second shift position can be a Salary Grade G06 (Technical Support Engineer I) or G07 (Technical Support Engineer II) based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position. Primary responsibilities include supporting test and troubleshooting of RF (high power and low power), IF, Microwave, Digital and Analog hardware for a variety of defense electronic systems. This position requires close cooperation with the Operations team and other engineering disciplines including Product Design, Test Development and Manufacturing Engineering. The candidate will possess good communication skills and be able to work in a dynamic team environment. Additional responsibilities include: * Interpreting test requirements and documenting test procedures * Analyzing data to drive issues to root cause * Generating Change Requests (CRs) on technical issues relating to the production test process * Developing and executing improvement projects to increase first pass yields * Engagement with Design and Test Development teams to solve issues impacting production * Ensuring hardware requirements are met and processes are followed * Assisting manufacturing operators in the testing & troubleshooting of production hardware U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance prior to start.
