Kettering Health Dayton, formerly Grandview Medical Center, has been providing care to Dayton and surrounding communities for over 90 years.
Over 20 specialties, including orthopedics, heart and vascular, surgery, and trauma services.
KH Dayton expanded their Emergency Department as well as their heart & vascular services to include an additional catheterization lab and electrophysiology lab.
Partners with Gem City Market to provide fresh fruits and vegetables every Tuesday within the hospital.
One of the largest osteopathic teaching hospitals in the United States.

Department Overview
JOB SUMMARYPerforms inventory assessments in order to maintain adequate levels of supplies and equipment asapplicable. Assist Material Management in strengthening relations between KHN departments and MaterialManagement to ensure maximum customer satisfaction. Able to follow directions and assist MaterialManagement leadership with duties as assigned. Uses proper phone etiquette and maintains professionalappearance at all times. Other duties as assigned
Responsibilities & Requirements
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSKnows and understands the critical role the department plays in support of patient care
Interacts with departments regarding supply concerns/substitutions; assists with incoming calls andconcerns
Maintains supply areas and materials/supplies in a safe, clean working environment.Verifies quantity and descriptions of supplies received and/or delivered.Inventories, stocks, and dispenses supplies and equipment as applicable according to requisitions andrequests.Receives and rotates incoming stock to assigned bin location/area using "FIFO" technique.Labels and stocks supplies to preset inventory locations.Initiates product follow up procedures to minimize stock shortages.Participates in scheduled physical inventories.Assists with special projects

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum EducationHigh School or its equivalent is preferred
Required SkillsKnowledge of computer and computer related equipment preferred.
Minimum Work ExperienceExperience in materials management processes preferred.
