Med Lab Scientist II Full Time Evenings Position Summary

This position is responsible for providing support functions of the Core Laboratory, Transfusion Services and Microbiology. This position will provide technical expertise as needed for the oversight of quality control, quality performance and laboratory testing.

May provides technical guidance to the staff, in the absence of the department director, supervisor and/or lead. Must have the ability to act independently, with strong organization and critical thinking skills. Must be technically proficient in the maintenance, operation, quality control, and troubleshooting of laboratory instruments.

THE MED LAB SCIENTIST II FULL TIME EVENINGS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

Education:

BS in Medical Technology or related science required. Registered in accordance with a certifying agency (ASCP, AMT or equivalent)

Experience:

Five (5) years previous in a clinical laboratory required. Leadership and/or quality management experience is preferred.
