This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join a leadership role in SEC Reporting, working in a fast paced, growing business environment.

What's the role?

As the MLP Controller, you will lead the preparation and review of all financial statements for inclusion in the quarterly and annual reports on forms 10Q and 10K and ensure that the filings are on time, accurate and compliant with GAAP and SEC regulations. You will also oversee the technical accounting review of acquisitions/drops by Shell's technical accounting advisors while minimising risk by implementing a number of SOX related controls, with an emphasis on our MLP. You will also oversee the smooth implementation and on-going effectiveness of the S/4 accounting systems in meeting our SEC reporting obligations.

In this critical role you will be the face of the team to multiple stakeholders including but not limited to Shell Midstream Partner's Audit Committee and Board and act as quality control in ensuring our accounts and reported results are compliant with SEC reporting standards.We are looking for a results-oriented individual with a strong collaborative mindset, effective communication skills and the ability to influence in addition to the following skills and experiences:

  • A minimum of bachelor's degree and your active CPA license are critical to your success in this role

  • Your extensive years of experience in accounting with a recent management position in controlling or financial reporting with strong focus on SEC reporting either gained in a large multinational corporate or in one of the leading audit firms

  • Your functional knowledge with SAP, with a high preference on S/4 Hana systems

  • Your ability to lead a team and;

  • Your natural charisma to interface with senior stakeholders within the business

Schedule and process product movements through computer database. Monitor rates, pressures, and answer phone calls while instructing field operators on movements. Responsibilities: Operates pipeline and marine facilities from the control center. Operates multiple product movements at the same time. Coordinates safe and efficient transportation of fuel oil and distillate products.Must be able to recognize abnormal operations and react accordingly in a short period.Monitors and controls pipeline/marine operations through SCADA system.Monitor, detect, and respond to abnormal pipeline conditions. Communicate emergency conditions quickly and calmly.Schedule barge, vessel and pipeline nominationsMust understand the order creation and dock scheduling processesUpdate product movement schedulers throughout duration of shift.Responsible for communicating critical information to field operators and management.Receive and respond to calls/emails from customers..Train others in operational taskMust be able to lift 40 lbs.Must be able to accurately account for our customer’s inventoriesWork with maintenance, field operations, and contractors for troubleshooting purposesOther duties as assigned Position Requirements Must be competent, courteous, accurate, and thorough in dealing with external and internal customers.Ability to attain TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credentials) as offered by TSA (Transportation Security Administration).Must be able to pass Operation Qualification test after training.Must be able to acknowledge and react to colors on color graphic displays on computer control system.Must be able to acknowledge and react to various audible instructions, alarms, or other forms of communication.Must be able to respond to several different situations simultaneously (multi-task) with confidence and composure.Typing, calculator, and mathematical skills needed. Proven ability to take initiative, work highly independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously. The majority of the times indoor with short field walk around to monitor equipment status.Must be able and willing to work a 12 hour rotating shift schedule.Must be willing and able to work any required overtime as needed.
