Mortgage Loan Originator - Consumer Direct reports to the Branch Manager and is responsible for following up on leads provided from multiple avenues and marketing sources as well as self-generating referral leads. The MLO will be expected to solicit, originate, and facilitate the processing and closing of loan products and financing of residential real estate purchases.

Licensing and Certification Requirements

o Multiple state NMLS licensing preferred

o Current NMLS license number

Responsibilities and Duties

o Must meet applicable qualifications and standards required for MLO Licensure under the SAFE Act.

o Know, remain familiar with, and comply with all applicable laws, regulations and industry standards, and will be expected to strictly follow all company rules, procedures and policies.

o Knowledge of credit and mortgage loan underwriting practices, agency/investor eligibility requirements, and state/federal regulatory compliance.

o Originate a variety of loans.

o Know and understand Conventional, FHA and VA underwriting guidelines for originating loans.

o Maintain high quality standards while meeting daily production standards of Company.

o Effectively and professionally communicate with consumers primarily through telephone conversations and email correspondence.

o Attend mandatory branch and company meetings; and complete all company-required training.

o Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Knowledge, Experience

o Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related field preferred

o 2 years of mortgage sales experience required

Skills

o Proven developments skills in meeting established production guidelines.

o Proven written and verbal communication skills.

Technology Proficiencies

o Experience with Velocify, Open Close and Microsoft Office preferred.
