The Digital Product Manager oversees product strategy in Ocean State Job Lot's digital channels, including web, email, social, display, search, affiliate, and others. This position is the primary business owner of the product catalog on OSJL's website and leading expert on product catalog functionality in the Oracle Commerce Cloud platform. The Digital Product Manager will work closely with Advertising, Buying, Merchandising, and other departments to create digital experiences that are consistent with the brand and in-store experience, and ultimately drive customer traffic to the stores. As Ocean State Job Lot begins selling product online, this position will play a critical role in optimizing the user experience and driving conversion and sales.


  • Oversee Job Lot's web merchandising strategy. Work closely with the Director of E-Commerce to make sure best practices are implemented for driving store traffic and E-Commerce sales.

  • Drive the web merchandising strategy to optimize store sales, including selecting and coordinating homepage images, featured categories, and product carousels.

  • Work with the Marketing Analyst to analyze product and collection pages using customer centric insight data, sales and website analytics to implement needed changes to improve taxonomy, search, product rank and product descriptions. Create A/B tests as needed to help validate different approaches.

  • Utilize all appropriate tools available in the Oracle Commerce Cloud Platform to optimize the customer experience, collections and product functionality and maximize conversion. Stay apprised of Oracle updates and engage with other users on the platform to implement best practices. Champion the adoption of new features and functionality that improve user experience.

  • Review and analyze online competitor's site merchandising, promotional execution and tactics, user experience, product representation and taxonomy; When appropriate, make recommendations for process changes internally.

  • Responsible for product selection in all digital channels. Work closely with the digital marketing team to select appropriate product and collections featured in email, web, social, display, search, affiliate, and other channels.

  • Oversee rollout of all Insider promotions. This includes buyer collaboration, product selection, promotional set up, creative review, merchandising review, and promotional reporting. Develop and maintain a process for ongoing Insider Sneak Peak content.

  • Work closely with the Director of E-Commerce to develop marketing plans and collateral to drive Ship to Store promotions. As the company rolls out E-Commerce, this position will play a critical role in optimizing the user experience and driving conversion and sales.

  • Assist in administering the rollout of cross channel digital marketing campaigns.

  • Supervise associates work performance related to your area(s) of responsibility. Manage the performance of your direct report(s) and engage in coaching and development.

  • Work as part of the E-Commerce team to help us achieve our goal of implementing the "Buy Online, Ship to Store" service as efficiently and effectively as possible.



  • 3-5 years of professional experience in digital marketing or related field

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in marketing, E-Commerce, or a related field preferred

  • In depth understanding of web design and web analytic software

  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google platform (i.e. sites, slides, drive, docs, sheets)
