Teradyne has an excellent opportunity for a talented Intern to join our Mixed Signal ASIC Test and Characterization team located in Agoura Hills, CA.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Setup and operation of lab instrumentation for test development of mixed signal Application Specific Integrated Circuits "ASICs".

• Work with design, test, and program management teams to assist with generation of the ASIC test plan.

• Supporting senior ASIC engineers in execution of ASIC verification and testing.

• Creation of software and hardware for efficient testing and data processing.

The ideal candidate would have the following skills and experience:

Required:

• Strong familiarity with lab equipment such as DMMs, power supplies, pattern generators and oscilloscopes.

• Familiarity with scripting languages such as C, C++, Visual Basic.

• Experienced with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, PowerPoint etc.

Preferred:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong familiarity with PCBA concepts such as reading schematics, layout and manufacturing techniques.

• Some familiarity with signal integrity concepts such as S-parameters, TDR and impedance

• Familiarity with beginner embedded systems (e.g. Arduino)

• Familiarity with Verilog and FPGAs

• Soldering and SMD rework skills

Education:

• Working on a degree in Electrical Engineering
