MIT - Manager in Training: All new managers undergo a management training program for a minimum of eight weeks.

During this training period, you are an MIT. After you have successfully completed your MIT training and have been assigned a permanent location, you will be promoted to RGM - Restaurant General Manager.

VIEW JOBS 11/9/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-02-07T00:00 About the Role The IT Asset Manager (ITAM) will oversee all activities that optimize the value of IT software and hardware assets while minimizing risk to the organization, and ensure the software asset life cycle aligns to business requirements. The ITAM will focus on enabling consistent software asset management practices across IT. These practices include the establishment of policy, standard roles, governance processes, reporting and compliance procedures throughout the organization. This will require interfacing with vendors (contract terms & conditions, etc.) and other areas within Glacier Bank; i.e. Finance (purchase orders, A/P, etc.), Facilities (shipments, etc.). The ITAM will be conducting and leading efforts in a self-directed manner on asset lifecycle management projects from conception through implementation. Defining, creating, implementing, and executing processes related to the lifecycle management of software and hardware assets within the organization (from Planning through Disposal). Providing subject matter expertise and advanced knowledge of vendor hardware warranty and software maintenance programs and licensing terms & conditions. Responsible for the administration and remediation of software licenses and/or hardware assets to ensure compliance with vendor contracts. Oversee centralized purchasing for the entire organization. Responsible for fielding compliance and optimization related questions, responding in a timely manner with instruction, direction or recommendation. Performing periodic analysis and management reporting of key asset management metrics such as software compliance risks, software optimization or cost reduction opportunities, application rationalization opportunities, etc. This is a Corporate position located in Missoula, MT. To learn more about us, please visit: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Effectively supervises the ITAM Operations Team to include all Software and Hardware tracking. The ITAM will be responsible for the day to day management of the Procurement and IT Asset Management Team including staffing, budgeting and other relevant management functions. Provides guidance to team members in maintaining open lines of communication supporting company policy and procedures and accomplishing their key responsibility areas as related to Software Asset Management. Develop and enhance methodologies, policies and practices for software and hardware asset life cycle management in line with best practice and practical experience as part of a cycle of continuous improvement and compliance. * Take lead in the response to software vendor audit or license validation (including true-up) requests based on contractual agreement, in consultation with the relevant vendor and procurement managers and other appointed delegates. * Monitor KACE license manager including liaising with vendors to understand software license entitlements and to obtain information on license products when any discrepancy is identified. Manage and maintain records for Microsoft Licensing in addition to desktop software corporation wide. * Develop and implement an IT Asset Management plan for program status, software licensing best practices, policies, and procedures. * Track and Monitor all vendor contracts as related to our IT Organization. Manage vendors to insure GBCI is getting the best price possible as related to Hardware and Software orders. * Advise the relevant project, program, infrastructure and application portfolio managers on software licensing and compliance, software license re-use process and recommend actions that will optimize the software asset portfolio. * Oversee the responsibility for ordering all IT Procurement hardware and software related items in a timely manner. * Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. About You QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five years of similar or related IT Asset Management or related experience required. One year of experience in a supervisory role is required. Three years experience in IT procurement with a general understanding of IT systems, IT infrastructure components and IT processes preferred. In-depth knowledge of software asset life cycle management processes and technical knowledge on supporting tools is preferred. Direct, hands-on experience with automated software management tools is strongly preferred. Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of software and hardware asset management solutions preferred. Proven experience managing vendor relationships or with vendor software audits is preferred. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: Bachelors degree in Business or technology is required. Have or be willing to take training towards a certification such as: Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) or IT Asset Management or related certification. KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY: * Strong analytical & organizational skills to execute projects within given timeframes. * Strong sense of urgency, timeliness and strict attention to detail. * Self-starter who will proactively look to improve processes. * Strong written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to understand key concepts and communicate with technical staff, business stakeholders and senior management. * Ability to bridge communications between the IT Operations, IT Procurement and Business Unit teams. * Ability to work well at all levels of the organization from executive and down, both in a team setting and as an individual contributor. * Highly motivated and disciplined with positive, service oriented attitude. * Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) experience is desired, but not required. * Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive internal information. * Advanced MS Excel and proficiency with all MS Office applications. * Analytical ability oriented toward feasibility and cost considerations. * Analytical approach to problem solving with a focus on managing in a team environment with attention to results and with a sense of urgency. Experience with MS Excel, MS Access, or similar data analytics tools preferred. * Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies. * Strong project and process management skills, with the ability to handle multiple software vendors & products, projects and a wide range of tasks. * Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws. * A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise.
