Job Summary

The Manager in Training acts as an Assistant Manager while taking the necessary courses and hands-on experience to successfully move to a keyed, store management position. They effectively direct sales by coaching and motivating employees to achieve personal and store sales goals. They also ensure compliance is met for all company operations, policies and procedures. The Manager in Training controls store shrink by practicing and preventing loss.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Applies and coaches others on 4-Step selling techniques

  • Achieves personal sales goals of Black Dot/Gold Star Performance

  • Achieves 2.0 IPC

  • Follows loss prevention procedures and controls shrink and expenses

  • Cleans and maintains good housekeeping

  • Adheres to company dress code policy

  • Delegates daily operational duties

  • Assists in conducting training and recruiting

  • Enforces and follows all company policies, procedures, guidelines and programs

  • Ensures work environment is safe and clean at all times

  • Maintains company visual standards

  • Protects company assets

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year retail management experience or 6 months working for Windsor at store-level

  • Proven leadership experience, ability to develop and motivate a team of up to 25 employees

  • Able to resolve issues as they arise with customers and associates

  • Communicates well and effectively in a one-on-one setting and in a group setting

Physical/Environmental Demands:

Frequently stands, walks, observes, communicates and reads. Regularly moves and pushes. Counts and writes to accurately complete documentation. Must be able to: access all areas of the store including sales floor, stock area and register area, operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store, climb ladders, move or handle merchandise throughout the store (generally weighing from 0-25 pounds) and work varied hours/days to oversee store operations. Environment is fast-paced and indoor temperature conditions vary.

As an Education Training Specialist Team Leader, you will provide leadership to a team of Education Services Specialists in designing, developing, testing, managing and delivering a full range of learning products, learning system technologies and educational services to improve the performance of Taxpayer Advocate Service (TAS) employees supporting TAS's strategic business goals and objectives. The team leader manages and directs the team in strategic, tactical and administrative planning and oversee the production of all products and services the team develops. You will oversee the production of course books, training videos, and Job Aids while articulating work assignments, projects, problem areas, significant issues, and deadlines for completion to team members. You will lead the team in identifying, distributing, and balancing workload based on established workflow and skill levels. Make adjustments to complete work assignments based on priorities and/or deadlines. Team Leaders provide regular updates, reports and briefings to the supervisor regarding status of work assignments and administrative matters. Monitor work in progress and reviews completed work to ensure adherence to program policies or priorities, work methods, quality guidelines, and established deadlines. Identify technical deficiencies and arranges enhance the performance of the staff. You will also coordinate the preparation, presentation, and communication of work-related information to the supervisor. As a Lead Education Training Specialist you will: * Direct the team in broad complex long-term studies and research that require application of advanced analytical techniques in order to make recommendations related to learning systems requirements and changes. * Establish learning systems program goals and objectives (i.e., course design and development strategies, training delivery processes, technology enabled learning enhancements and processes, etc), ensures timely execution of program activities, and determines approaches to achieve goals. This process includes formulating, administering and adhering to the business unit policies and procedures and participating/leading task forces or special projects to accomplish such goals and objectives. * Articulate work assignments, projects, problem areas, significant issues, and deadlines for completion to team members. Leads the team in identifying, distributing, and balancing workload based on established workflow and skill levels. Makes adjustments to complete work assignments based on priorities and/or deadlines. Ensures integration of team members in developing the final team product (s). * Provide guidance in the selection and application of appropriate problem-solving methods and techniques for team members. Advice includes work methods, practices, and procedures relative to work assignment/project as well as assistance in identifying parameters to viable solutions. * Train or arrange for the training of team members in methods and techniques of team building to accomplishing tasks/projects. Serves as coach, facilitator, and/or negotiator in coordinating team initiatives and in consensus-building activities among team members. * Provide regular updates, reports and/or briefings to the supervisor regarding status of work assignments and administrative matters.
