Description:Electro Optical Infrared systems provide an aircraft pilot an unparalleled view of objects, day or night.

This job supports full product lifecycle of design, development, testing, troubleshooting and sustainment of Electro Optical Infrared Sensor systems and Laser Targeting systems for Aircraft. Supports development of engineering software tools and automation of existing tools.

Performs document peer reviews and document release activities. Supports development and design reviews. Coordinates engineering changes.

Supports test planning. Supports aircraft subsystem troubleshooting.

Must be a U.S. Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in electro-optical engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, electronic engineering, computer engineering, RF engineering or a related engineering degree.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)

  • Experience troubleshooting engineering and/or software design issues

  • Experience with technical writing

  • Experience with MATLAB

  • Previous intern or other work experience in aeronautics, aerospace or defense

Responsibilities The Senior Engineering System Administrator will apply technical and analytical knowledge to provide support for Engineering systems. * Administer, design, test, document, build, secure and maintain Linux and Windows based computer systems. * Administer, configure and maintain Milestone video recording software. * Support high-visibility programs that require quick turnaround system support. * Provide Tier III support to Tier II network operations center personnel. * Writes manual for users to describe installation and operating procedures. Assist users in resolving operating problems and provide technical assistance. * Coordinate with engineers and field support representatives to identify problems and create solutions. * Evaluate the effects of proposed systems or equipment changes and ensure all specified personnel impacted by changes to hardware/software are aware of change and its impact on their operation. * Keep abreast of changing technologies for efficient and creative applications. * Provide training to new users as necessary. * Monitors the performance of the overall data systems. Qualifications * High School required, Bachelor's Degree preferred * 10 years of expierence required * Strong interpersonal skills * Experience administering Linux Operating Systems: RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu (5+ years' experience) * Experience administering Windows environments: Active Directory, Server 2016, Windows 10 (5+ years' experience) * Experience implementing DISA STIGs on Linux and Windows operating systems (3+ years' experience) * Experience with Docker containerization software (3+ years' experience) * Experience with VMware applications: vCenter and ESXi (3+ years' experience) * Familiarity with Milestone software desired * Familiarity with Netapp desired * Takes ownership of problems and works to resolution * Has the tool knowledge to include server configurations as well as administration tasks extending into usage models.
